  1. "The boyz" are playing like men. Without Gill, the Super Sophomores over the Seniors. Elliott 63 Russell 59;)
  2. Soldier, you are right. Elliott can not hang with the big boys in the state just yet. However, neither can Russell, Ashland, Greenup or Rose Hill. :thumb:
  3. That is the problem with this region to many fouls are called. When our teams go to Lexington or Louisville they expect the officals to call the touch fouls and they let you play through those touch fouls. That is why most of the 16th regions teams are one and out at the state tournament.
  4. O.J. and the crew took the Blue Blazers with them when they departed. I saw a couple of them Blue Blazers the other night on court TV at a baskeball game in Ohio, when a riot broke out.
  5. The closer we get to tournament time the more the 16th region officals are going to let both teams play. I would like to see them call this way all year long. Selby and Blanton could have been fouled out in the third quarter. They were hammering Euton, all night. The behind the back lay-up by Jackson was not a walk. The tape does not lie.
  6. Agreed,Made some big buckets when they needed him. Always a great defender. Give you 100% every night on D. I thought Malloy had a good game. He needs to trust his ability to shoot the three. I watched him in warmups and he hit 5 and 6 in a row. When he steps up and makes a few the double teams on Euton will have to stop. Great Job.:dancingpa
  7. Must of been some good Coaching to come out with a OT win in Louisa. Im sure it was a physical game. Sounds Like the Musketeers didnt have their best game. Its a good sign when you play bad and still hang on to win. Great Job Coach Sutton and the Musky's.
  8. Rose Hill was up 16 and Euton got in foul trouble and had to sit down. Boyd went on a run while he was out. Boyd had alot of trouble with the Royals full court pressure. Rose Hill did not play that well either, but a good solid win at Boyd. Rose Hill hit their free throws down the stretch. I would think Euton had somewhere around 20 and 12. Several free throws. Jackson about the same. Way to go Royals:ylsuper:
  9. I agree Greenup has to take advantage of their inside play. I also agree Brown needs to act like he wants the ball when he is posting up.He does a good job when he gets the ball. On his defense, it is frustrating working your tail off to get open on the post not to recieve the ball. I believe he could get alot more active inside especially on the offensive glass. They all need to play with more grit. I also think Wolfenbarker needs to penitrate more and create for the other players. He is a good penatrater. The most imprtant thing is Wolfenbarker has to realize That Greenup is not very good when he is sitting over by the coach in foul trouble. He has to stay out of foul trouble. :thumb:
  10. Good win for the Musketeers!! Its up to the seniors on the team to lead at this point. deep in their hearts they know Coach Sutton has always been there for them. They have to shake off everything that has happened this year and go on. Trust Coach Sutton and dont listen to all the crap that people are saying negitive. come togather as 1 and the team will be successful. When you are in the locker room, look around. Thats who you have to do it with. Not the fan's, Not the School admistrators, Not the ex coach, Not the parents, but everyone in that locker room. Stay focused and by all means when you walk off that floor be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say "I gave it everything I had out there" then you cant go wrong win or lose.:thumb:
  11. Coach Biggs didnt have to play them this year. Im sure he wont take 2 loses.
  12. Frances, I dont believe that is what scooter was trying to say. He was saying a bogus charge "like this one" not only hurts OJ.but the whole community. This could and does hurt the name of OJ. I dont believe that the double T was fair at all. I believe that the official was trying be the show. He would be a better big time wrestler.
  13. This should solve the problem of the teams in the district dodging Rose Hill in regular season play the next few years.:jump:
  14. This would only be damaging to other schools if the KHSAA got involved. They are the only ones that could punish a school. I dont believe that they will at this point. They have their hands full with existing cases without digging up old cases.
  15. You are right. Does other schools (coaches, teachers, ext.) have illegal contact with players, parents, from another school?? It goes on everywhere. no doubt. The problem starts when you get caught. Its like speeding. We all do it. Its not speeding until you get caught.
  16. I believe that it has been such a mess that they do want it to go away. They dont have any benifit on damaging Hick's any further. Im sure they would like for it to die down. On the other hand Hick's probly wants to keep it stirred up because he knows that what they dont want. By the way Scooter why arnt you at the Rose Hill game that is going to tip off in 4 minutes.
  17. I agree, They are human and they are gona miss a few here and there. I just wondered if anyone thought that was a little crazy. I guess he thought he was taunting the Ashland player.
  18. If Hick's pushes this issue they may be more come out that damages him futher. Everything was not in the report. Why he didnt take the hand shake deal the super offered is beyond me when he knows this stuff is true. He did say one statement that made sense. He is damaged goods. but he brought it all on his self. Once again It all started when he turned in the Russell Player to the KHSAA. He needs to let it go, if it goes to court and is proven that he done all this stuff then he will have a hard time getting anybody to hire him. Right now it is just his word against the Greenup County school system.
  19. Did anyone notice the T called on Travis Wright for getting up after taking a charge and fist pumping. what was that all about. Officials are getting whistle happy. The same official called a over the back on Mcdavid that was not even close. I dont like to see officials that assume violations. bottom line If you dont see it dont call it. I would rather miss a few violations than go around assuming them.
  20. I believe that they are more coaches from South( Greenup, Wurtland) of the Greenup Dam than from North(South Shore). I may be wrong. Here are the ones I know. Nate Sutton- Boys Basketball- downtown Greenup Eric Keaton- Girls basketball- Not sure I believe Ashland Greg Logan- Baseball-1st street Lloyd Jeane Galihue-Softball-Rt 1 greenup Roger Gillum-boys golf-Rt 1 greenup Lou Quellen-girls golf-Coal Branch greenup Mike Sammons-Football-South Shore roots.
  21. I watched the video on u-tube from several different angles. the punishment does not fit the crime. The first T was for carrying the ball up the floor after the dunk. I dont think they were any trash talking. If they were the Ref was on the wrong side of the floor to see it. OJ then walked on down the floor and was elbowed at mid-court by a Capitol player. He did not retaliate. If you watch the Ref and the other Ref's he was only watching OJ. None of the other Ref's had their whistle in their mouths. He had his out of his mouth and then put it back in when Oj walked back to midcourt and When Oj walked by the Capitol player that elbowed him he just looked at him. Then he blew the second T for no reason what so ever except head hunting. At that point OJ could not believe he called that one and went to ask what he did. He is a captain he can approach the Ref. Thats when Hulk Hogan fell on the floor and floped like a fish. The ref is the one that was unfair in this situation. He should be the one suspended. I give you the first T but no way the second. He should not be sitting out any games this is unfair.
  22. Rose Hill has a mid-day home game at the Stewart Gym @ 3:00 today. Any predictions. I say it will be a close one.
