I vividly remember Trinity danicing on the logo at Seneca this past year. It is possible that it was after the game, but my point was that it would be hypocritical for T fans to complain about people doing it to them.

Trinity is not above dancing on the logo in the middle of someone elses field either.

PepRock01 - I didn't mean to suggest it is ok to assume anyone is going to beat Seneca. I'm a fan of the program. I was simply taking exception to the assumption that two schools Seneca beat this past year would beat the Redhawks next year. Coach Higgins may be an outstanding coach, I do not know him, but I think it is absurd to rank FC in the top 10 in the state coming off a 2 win season. I know the QB will be better, but that was not the only place they had trouble last year and he will still be just a sophomore. Turning around a program is a process that takes time. FC may get to the top 10, but should we be putting them there now? With respect to Trinity and Ballard, Seneca has not won against either school in the last 3 years. I think Seneca will win those games, and I know the players and coaches believe it and are working for it, but until it is proven on the field, there is no basis to make bold claims here.

Seneca did beat Fern Creek this past season and I predict they will do so again this year (They play in week 3). Seneca is returning the districts leading rusher (Anthony Knott) along with their fullback, tight end, and 3/5's of the OL. They will be able to run the ball. Coach Dover always has produced quality wide receivers. For Seneca the real questions are on defense. The Redhawks started as many as 8 freshmen and sophomores on defense last year. I expect great improvement from that group this year. By the way, Seneca beat Eastern last year as well. Let's not assume that Eastern will defeat Seneca either!

The easiest way to adjust would be for JCPS to eliminate race as a consideration for school admission. I do not think the court would have any problem with the school system considering family income in school admissions with the goal to have a wide range on incomes represented at each school. This would achieve many of the same goals as considering race and be entirely constitutional.

Wasn't there a separate proposal to limit participation in sports to students who reside in Kentucky? Does anyone know the status of that proposal? I'm interested because my nephew lives in S. Indiana. He goes to catholic school now (6th grade). His family has always planned for him to attend St. X.

I have heard from people close to Coach Redman that he has decided not to apply for the Central position and to remain at Male. Has anyone heard any other names?

Seems like all is quiet out of Central. Anyone have any info on who the coaching candidates are?

Retired, Just curious, why do you think caoching at Ballard is a tough environment? I have always thought of Ballard as one of the better jobs in Jefferson County.

Not even close to the worst AAAA team ever! That was an absurd statement when it was made and looks completely ridiculous now. Seneca finished 5 - 2 in their district. They will play Ballard next week at Papa John's stadium.

Montrel Williams, Seneca, had 7 catches for 128 and 3 touchdowns last week. I've seen him alot and I find it hard to believe there is a better receiver in the state.

Looks like they did it purely based on location. Check the map on khsaa, Seneca is much closer than Fern Creek to Ballard, Trinity, Eastern.

How many teams from each district make the playoffs?

Seneca will be getting new uniforms for next year. The new design has not been announced.
