Here is my top ten 1. Hazard 1. Breathitt Co. 3. JBS 4. Perry Central 5. Powell Co 6. Lee Co 7. Buckhorn 8. Cordia 9. KCC 10 Estill Co.

Thier district is Wolfe Co. Riverside, Jackson City and Breathitt.

Not trying to knock JBS. Most agree that Hazard, JBS, and Breathitt are tops in the 14th right now. Just showing how all 3 top teams stack up comparatively based on a stat that you yourself brought up. So, no arguement here.

Don't understand how that is a knock on them. Hazards opponents w/l averages around .600. JBS plays teams with an average of .500 and without the tournament in Lexington, they have played only 1 team with a winning record. JBS has only played 3 teams with a winning record (all 3 losses by the way.) Breathitt is playing teams with an average record around 4-6. Breathitt has played some quality opposition, but they have played Piarist (as did JBS) and Brown. I just can see how you can argue with 11-1 at this point.

If the Hollon kid did do something like this. Jackson City officials should send a copy of thier game film to the Admin at Breathitt and give them a chance to look at the situation. If nothing is done, forward to KHSAA for review. Suspensions should follow. If the incident is true. I was at the game scouting for another school and I did not see the incident. I did see after the game during the handshakes a disturbance with Watkins and some of Breathitts players. Just an excahnge of ideas i believe. haha

I said a little overrated. They still are a contender for the 14 th region title. That zone defense Catholic played might have had some effect on the shooting %.

I think JBS is a little overrated. A solid 14 region team but when it comes to playing down in the Bluegrass it is another world. JBS had a reality check tonight. You need more than one or two players to compete with the upper level of teams.

About what I expected

I was at the game as a nuetral observer(actually scouting both teams for our coach) 1. The defense put on Drew Davidson wasn't nothing special 2 defenders at all times leaving one wing player unguarded for Jackson City. It only worked when Jackson City was in foul trouble and playing with some young players that couldn;t take advantadge of the situation. Try that any other team and Breathitt will be in for a long night. 2. Coach Hall did a good job of coaching an outmatched team and was playing with a very talented Breathitt team till Watkins got in foul trouble. 3. I thought this was of the most home cooking I have seen this year from the refs. Not necessarily the calls but friom the non-calls. Watkins was beat to death and davidson jersey was stretched two sizes after the game 4. Best post player in the region Travis Smith( I love his game ) But completely under utilized 5. The biggest other factor was Hollon starting to hit 3's in the third period. My respect to both coaches for a hard fought game. I hope Breathitt is preparing for the regional tournament and not changing what they do best to become King of the Hill. It could come back to bite you against a good team. Breathitt is a legit threat to win the region.
