  1. Heavily buttered, of course .... Frances
  2. Well - obviously, they were planted on him without his knowledge .... Frances
  3. What in the world are you talking about? Did someone delete some posts that I didn't get to read? Frances
  4. Congratulations to Johnson Central. I didn't see this year's game, but I saw enough of Grimm last year to know that he's the real deal. Frances
  5. Yea - but Orville at least claims that he's innocent ... Frances
  6. If I had any shame, I'd be appalled!! You know a lady NEVER discusses her uvula in public. Of course, this is BGP. For what it's worth, that triple order of biscuits and gravy at breakfast at the Hungry Heifer yesterday really hit the spot ... Frances
  7. Better take him up on it, HHSDad. He's been known to develop a sudden urge to go to the Men's room whenever the check is on it's way to the table. Frances
  8. In what many will consider a calamitous rarity, I will have to say that I agree with RickyP on the entire subject. The truth is that neither Clinton nor Bush could have been expected to foresee or prevent the 9/11 attacks on the WTC. I dare say that NO ONE saw that particular event happening. NO ONE. To take potshots at each other for not preventing an unforseeable, unprecedented act like that is ludicrous. Frances PS - may the good Lord forgive me for agreeing with RickyP ...
  9. Is their team nickname the "Glycerines"? Frances
  10. Did you read the post by Belfry Boy, that states that Burch has a total of 12 players on their team? If that is true, just how much pride do you get from cheapening the game like this? Frances
  11. Just trying to be sure that I understand your position - are you saying that you have no problem with burying a team that is clearly overmatched and not competitive, in an attempt to artificially inflate the statistics of a player? Frances
  12. You really have to admire the sportsmanship displayed by the Matewan coach. He's up 50 or so to 0, and he's still running his stud back late in the game. Class. Frances
  13. I was speaking specifically of that post. If I were referring to BGP in general, I would have chosen another word with which to begin my reply. :thumb: Frances
  14. Wisdom is spoken here. Frances
  15. Diamond - Do you have a link to a story that shows that he refused to sign off on the budget? Frances
  16. I think you make an excellent point, Jim. I would say that the problem with the Muslim world (as it exists in the Middle East) is that it is a closed society, that does not tolerate the exchange of ideas. Willful ignorance is a heavy burden to bear. Frances
  17. Not to speak for him, but I don't think 02Ram is saying that the rich are our oppressors. Rather, I think he is saying that he can find passages in the Bible that would support that position, if he so chose. Frances
  18. For those that equate Republicans with piety, and view it as the party that will eradicate abortion, I would ask this - Why has the last six years not resulted in the prohibition of abortion, or at the very least, a piece of legislation that would force the issue? I could understand it if there were an amendment to the Constitution that had to be ratified by 38 states, but that isn't even out there. 5Wide has captured the essence of the use of religious beliefs in the pursuit of political office. The truth is, the Republican party has mastered this (and I'll give the credit to Karl Rove, even though the idea predates him), and the Democrats have not. Frances
  19. I know that it's simply a typo, but isn't it odd that you capitalized the word "truth", and forgot to capitalize the word "Bible"? As per HHSDad's post, if you wish to discuss it further, we can do so in the PM's. Frances
  20. Oh sure - you, being a lot younger, would get to enjoy the majority of the fun. Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to use all of those fingernail clippers that have been confiscated at US airports since 9/11. Frances
  21. No doubt that this would be a harsh death, but man, it would take a serious set of arms to beat someone to death with a wiffleball bat, wouldn't it? Truth be told, I'd probably die of a heart attack before I could inflict enough damage to kill him first. Aslo, since I don't view it as a sin to wish death on someone, I'll be glad to tackle the job of executioner for Bin Laden. All I'm asking is that I get a three iron, rather than a wiffleball bat. Frances
  22. Is there such a thing as "good" spinach???? Frances
  23. Actually, Clinton was not interupting his interviewer. Wallace asked him a question, and during his answer, Wallace TRIED to cut him off, and attempted (several times) to interupt Clinton. This is (sadly) becoming a common tactic used by hosts of both radio and TV shows, to control what is being said. In polite company, and during controlled debates, one listens to the complete anwer to a question, without "shouting down" the person on the other side of the table. If you need an example of this, just tune in to the Sean Hannity show (not that he is the only one to do so), and count what percentage of callers actually get to finish their point when he is in control of the "mute button". Frances
  24. I never ceased to be amazed at how wise I am, when my thoughts align with yours. On the other hand, when I find myself in agreement with Fastbreak, it gives me pause, and I usually revisit my position, just to be sure that the butter hasn't slipped off of MY biscuit. Then again, my biscuit is considerably larger than Rosie's biscuit. Frances PS - let no one misunderstand. FB and I have known each other for more than three decades. He knows that I am kidding him.
