Estill was down 1 with 2:15 to go but Henry Clay comes up with 2 steals and 2 buckets to seal the game. Boyd 16 Moses 18 for Henry Clay Christopher 23 and Berryman 11 for Estill Estill fights hard but comes up short - represents 14th very well.

Their Coach was a College All American and played Pro Ball for 8 years - he probably doesn't listen to lesser individuals.

The Estill Kids fought just as hard as the Silver Grove Kids, probably harder seeing as their top two scorers didn't play in the fourth. You are being very insensitive to kids who played their hearts out. Nobody is crying and facts are facts. Both teams played hard and deserved to win. When the :00 should have hit and the buzzer should have sounded Estill was ahead 62-61. Silver Grove got 2 seconds extra and a kid hit a great shot. It was not Silver Grove's fault, but neither was it Estill's. It was a bad situation that should have been addressed by the officials but wasn't.

Agreed -Dixon's rebounding and post defense has been missed. But, on offense Dixon played on the wing most nights. It has been more than a few years since Estill has had a "true" post. They have some good young players that will try and fill that void in years to come.

If you mean he earns every basket - I agree. If you mean his teammates do not set him up - you are very wrong. His teammates do a very good job of getting him the ball and he is an unselfish player as well. On a side note, Christopher is right there with Berryman and is near a top 5 player in the region. That said, that should show that having an inside presence is very important in High School. The absence of a tried and true post threat is very evident, but I believe that Estill's young players do a very good job of fighting that flaw. I don't know where they rank in the region, but I do know that they will give any 14th region team they face a dogfight until the final horn.

I agree Stepp and Cox and then I would say right now early in the season that in the top 2 or 3 is Berryman and Christopher - they combine for about 50 a game also.

Agree one hundred percent Professor. Owls whipped Estill in every facet of the game tonight. I am very disappointed in Estill's defense tonight. While the owls contested every shot Estill let Owsley in the paint time and time again for easy baskets. Estill's players seemed to be overlooking Owsley tonight, and I doubt that they do that again.

Poor effort all of the way around for the Engineers but bottom line is a W is a W. If they don't start playing Defense they will lose a buch of games... period.

Very well played game by Owsley Very Poor game by Estill Estill Shot 28 % 49% from the foul line and was outplayed in virtually every aspect of the game Berryman finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds and a game tying layup in regulation. While Christopher finished with 18 points. Cackling chipped in 11. Estill played very poorly on Defense and Owsley took advantage. Owsley will be a tough out the rest of the way in the 56th. Congratulations Owls for a very hard fought loss, and tough play on both ends. Congleton led Owsley with 14.

He got back on track with 11 points :lol:

They beat Pulaski Southwestern this week 90-84.

Was very impressed with Price, but he is more like 6'6" and he is probably NAIA/DII Level.

Cant let this one go Goldie, with 3 1/2 minutes to go against Estill ,Knowles was still in the game up 30. Guess it is who they play that matters to Humphries.

Jackson City is one of the toughest places to play in the 14th - if you can get out of there with a win - you have accomplkished something. Congrats Lee you have a good ballclub. Now back to Tuesday night.... If Estill had hit..... :laugh:

BadCat - I am going to jump on your Bandwagon and say that 1 player or 2 will not beat Lee - thus my comments about the point guard needing to play and play well.

Professor, Just poking at the preview ratings I have read.

No playing the iffin' game just analyzing the game from a knowledgeable perspective. It played a big part in the game as many other things did - Estill will need the PG on the floor to be successful in the future. As for 14th I was being facetious in referring to the previews posted on this site.
