As Guru said, there aren’t enough studies. However the masks the general public wears is not likely going to protect the wearer. The intended purpose is to minimize droplets that we all put out when we breathe and talk. The theory being that if everyone wears them we protect each other (at least that is my understanding). Only N95 masks will truly protect the wearer. I work in a hospital. We wear standard hospital paper masks all day, and N95 masks when we do Covid tests or caring for someone suspected of having COVID. I will say that we haven’t had one case of CV traced to work place exposure in my department. Granted, that is not statistical proof that masks work, but it is indicative that they do.

The flu vaccine is free and safe. Hopefully we understand how devastating Covid can be. Now that flu season is upon us, the combination of both is potentially a one two punch, that can escalate deaths. It’s not just about protecting yourself, it’s about protecting others. Haven’t we learned that by now?

Please everyone, get a flu shot. Make sure your family is also immunized. I don’t care about the petty reasons you haven’t taken one in the past. Just do it this year.

Obviously, I am with the Tigers, but Cov Cath has become a 5A powerhouse. The Tigers have had surprise under dog victories in the past, so anything is possible. At the very least, the Tigers have always sharpened their teeth against future opponents following the Cov Cath game. Win or lose they will be better for it.

Filed a complaint with PayPal. Both Mr. BWF and I got our money back for payments for the failed internet coverage. Win, win!

I don’t mind paying and supporting schools. $20 covers about what the two of us would spend at a game, not counting season tickets. I do mind repeatedly getting kicked off after watching less than a minute of interrupted play and then not being able to get back in. BTW, I still joke about the time years ago when Cov Cath hosted the Beechies and I won the split the pot in a PACKED game, back when Beechwood actually beat the Colonels. They saw a woman dressed in red and white and gave me $50. I think I got the Catholic version of that “split”. It’s ok, I am Catholic too.

So happy for the Tigers. Worst coverage ever for a paid coverage.

I have actually caught myself wearing my mask when driving alone because I forgot to take it off. Two months ago I made fun of people who did that.

Not sure I would jump to the front of the line to get a vaccine that was rushed through.

With most Catholic Schools starting back and public schools delaying in person school, it will be interesting to see how the numbers go. I am very glad my kids are raised and I don’t have to face this particular problem.

All were open. The dining room was shut down for a few days after some employees tested positive. I don’t know where/how members were exposed, but heard that some members were also positive.
