Class 2A #3 ranked Beechwood Tigers host the Lloyd Juggernauts this Friday in Fort Mitchell.  Each team played their district opener last Friday. The Tigers defeated Holy Cross 48-6 and the Juggernauts suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Newport Wildcats 19-13.

Lloyd last defeated Beechwood in 2002.  The Tigers only 2 regular season losses that year were to Lloyd and a 27-6 loss to Highlands. Since that loss Beechwood is 11-0 against Lloyd. The average score in those eleven games has been 36-8 in favor of the Tigers with four shutouts.

The Juggernauts will try to put that history behind them with an upset win on the road Friday night. What does Lloyd need to do to pull off the upset?

Don’t think Lloyd has enough to take the tigers down this week. Beechwood’s most competitive district game I think will be Newport this year, but I see no game being closer than 2 TDs. Hergott is on another level right now.

Beechwood by a billion.

Beechwood rolls.

I am thinking a 4-5 touchdown win at the end that takes work to get to. This could be a 2 TD halftime score. In the end, the score will make this game look like it was easier than it was.
