Congratulations!

Day 3 following the vaccine. Only had a very mildly sore arm. Sorry about the above.

Got the Moderna vaccine..i fink i am otay. Having no twoubly whatsoever JK. We get vaccines at work all the time. This had quite a bit of fanfare. Had to sign permission slips and repeatedly been told that it was approved for emergency use only. Plus there was a crash cart on site. Also the first time I got a work related vaccine that I had to provide my personal insurance card Apparently, since it is not yet required, they are trying to offset expenses. Overall, it was a well run clinic. Day one, and I barely felt the shot and zero pain. Might never play the piano. Always wanted to. Spoke directly to the pharmacist. Within 4 weeks i should have 50% immunity. I then take my second one which should give me 98% immunity after 2 weeks.

Went to Honey Baked Ham, drove over the Brent Spence, and am currently waiting in line for my COVID vaccine. Living dangerously today!

Getting my vaccine tomorrow. A little nervous, but mostly relieved.

I think this is true. Hospital reimbursement is going to be bigger if COVID is a contributing cause of death. COVID is a hugely expensive disease. Hospitals are trying to recoup as much as they can, but trust me, they are not getting rich from COVID either. Any hospital's bread and butter is in surgery, which stopped for COVID. Physicians certainly are not benefitting. Most are likely losing as well because routine MD visits have been put on hold. The people getting rich from COVID are makers of PPE and various other hospital supplies and equipment. I am ok with that. It keeps lots of folks working.

Well...….vaccines did not arrive. Things are on hold.

Now, back to the thread topic. As I stated in a different thread, I am getting the vaccine today, with a second one in a month. We were told that after getting the second one that masks would no longer be required in the work place. How is that going to work in the community? Unless we get a big button to wear that says vaccinated, I guess we will still have to wear one.

I have a few relatives who are teachers. One called a parent to let her know that her high school student had not been attending any online classes. Keep in mind, this is a student who has full access to the internet. The parent said "What do you want to do about it?" My relative said "Well, I am going to fail him. I just wanted to let you know why." I liked that. Another relative teaches in a very poor school. Most parents are working all day and many homes have no access to the internet. Many kids and their parents have no way to get to school to pick up homework. They are doing their best, but their kids are falling very far behind. Poor kids are disproportionally adversely affected by this virus.

I sure will! I am a part time nurse. Full time nurses got the first line of appointments. I was on the second list. Will be happy to share.

I thought they were going for two as well. The Tigers had a hard time stopping Xavier Brown,, and I thought 10 yards would not be a problem for him. Hindsight is always 20/20. Two great teams, but I do think LCA was out coached, which made the difference in the outcome.

He is an incredible, selfless human being who has given so much to Beechwood. As an added bonus, his wife is an amazing teacher there as well. I feel very blessed that my children were coached/taught by both of them.

What an exciting game to watch! The momentum kept shifting back and forth. I thought the Tigers were out of gas towards the end but they pulled through. LCA’s Xavier Brown is a beast. I hope he is a senior.

Heads up for anyone coming tomorrow. We were not allowed in the parking lot until 2:00 and NO Tailgating. They have people driving around in golf carts telling people to get in their cars or go in the stadium.

I have never had Moonlite but we stop at Red State every time we come by Lexington. The brisket is to die for!

Every single game starting in 1974. I was a cheerleader at that game, dating a linebacker, who I eventually married. Watcher my brother play in 1984, and then 3 nephews and two sons along the way.

I am one of a handful of people who can say they have been to every one of Beechwood’s state championship games. Can’t wait to keep up the streak on Friday.

We stupidly turned off the game after half time. Had to rush back on after a friend texted us.i guess I did underestimate WC, Prayers for Gage Leadingham on a quick recovery.

Geeeeez! What a barn Bruner! Hats off to West Carter who gave it their all! I truly thought the Tigers would dominate, but the Comets were tough.
