Well, we didn't break the record for most combined points in a game. Male had 146 (all by themselves) against Tharp in 1913. Which begs the question.... Who the heck is Tharp? :idunno:

This is really weird! The most points ever scored by Highlands in one game AND the most points ever surrendered by Highlands in one game involved the same opponent -- Holmes! Highlands lost to Holmes 77-0 in 1920. Eighty years later, the Birds would get their revenge by blanking the Bulldogs 81-0. Obviously, these games also marked the widest margins of both victory and loss for the Birds.
