What Do Schools Get Out of Playing In the Skyline?

Featured Replies

Do the schools get more money than if they hosted a home game? Will Conner be giving up money in order to play Boone today at TMC?

I know TSA wouldn't be putting it on if they weren't making money and I'm all for that. I'm just curious what the participating schools get out of it.

Right after I posted this I found out it's $5 to park.

JOKE! If that's going to TMC don't play it at TMC.

If it's going to TSA then , again, I ask what do the schools get out of it.

I got it from the Horse's mouth that Tom Gamble offers the home school more than they would make at a home gate.

In this case I blame the Conner's powers that be for selling all the fans out. School's should be ashamed of themselves for doing this.

My son played in one of these at Nippert. That was a cool experience. Cool environment.

TMC is a high school environment. There's nothing special about it for the players. They'd rather play on Friday night at home.

It is possible the parking money is going to TMC (which doesn't matter because its not going to the schools) because the TMC basketball team is working parking lot security and directing the traffic.

Agree, if the game was at UC that would be different. TMC is really nice but like Clyde said this is essentially a high school venue.

I don't care of the Ben-gals are working the parking, naked. I can't see fans having to pay for parking at a high school game. Now, if it's reserved parking for a fundraiser and it's optional, fine. But, otherwise it's just sticking it to the parents and fans as far as I'm concerned.

Not just fans but students too. Expecting a Boone County high school student to fork over 15 for a game is insanity.

I agree.

HC @ SK was a skyline game. It was 5 dollars to get in.

The NewCath/Cooper didn't cost me or my daughter a penny....it's all about who ya know.....better yet who you deliver to. :thumb:

$20 for 2 tickets and $5 to park.

You get NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! Joke!!!! It is a money maker for Gamble...

Does anybody think that the fact you can watch the games at TMC from the parking lot have anything to do with the parking fee? I don't know, just asking a question because lots stayed in the lot and watched.
