  1. The Fayette county boycott of LexCath has been in place offically since 2001. We haven't played any of the Lexington schools in football (at any level) in at least the last 5 years...maybe longer.
  2. The guy before him got a D1 scholarship too. Justin is exceptional but so are his coaches.
  3. Coach Sphire is a fine man and OUTSTANDING manager of Catholic's program. Those who say otherwise are uninformed and have an ax to grind. This was ANOTHER great season where results far exceeded expectations.
  4. LexCath's starters played Trinity even in the August scrimmage. I know both teams improved considerably over the season. That good pre season showing gave the Knights the much needed confidence boost that carried a group of seniors (most of the defense and offense only started this year) to the TOP. Proof that to be the best, you have to play the best teams even if you feel you're at a disadvantage size/numbers. LC usually plays 30-35 guys at most. The younger kids are lucky to play special teams, if that, on varsity. Most years there are guys who play both ways that you don't hear anything about. Dozer's line up looks on target but on any given day (it's happened before) LC could surprise X or T.
  5. Lex Cath has been in that boat for a couple of years.
  6. Looking for that Catholic sweep
  7. I have no idea why catholic is still throwing the ball.
  8. Sounds like their turnovers have killed them.
  9. But it seems out of hand by this point.
  10. Call them the beast from the east.
  11. He was not that good his freshman year.
  12. Highlands D of last year would shut down the Catholic O from this year.
  13. Lexington Catholic has had better teams. The overall talent level in 3a is down this year.
  14. It will be very interesting.
  15. No not upset very nervous. You dont understand how important this game is for anyone who has ever played for Catholic and wants that monkey off the programs back.
  16. Either this game is in OT or there is a final, whats the deal?
  17. I dont care who wins the next game. I just want Catholic in this one so everyone shuts up about them not beating Cov Cath and Highlands back to back. If Catholic wins state they will have traveled the toughest road, hands down.
  18. Catholic is almost over that hum_.
  19. Sounds very dark for Highlands. How is the running game for Catholic?
  20. Does anyone know the time and score?
  21. How is Catholic scoring? I thought they would have trouble sense their offense usualy revolves around the big play. Even though everyone thinks Catholics recieving duo is spectacular, they tend to forget a couple years ago when Catholic had Matt Beavin and John Logan and highlands shut them down. I thought Highlands team speed would win this game.
  22. I dont expect it either, Catholic's backup isnt a fraction of Burke, even if Burke is not 100 percent.
