I speek with people within the program, they all tell me Rob Rynallds, Barry Jones, Andy Kuchar, And one more not spoken yet could bring thiercoaching abilities to LLoyd? Is there any truth to this?

Newport 15 Mercer 14. Big "John" will have the troops ready for a war!!! I see the "O" using a power running game to control the clock. The "D" steps up and forces some turnovers. Big upset, it's great to be a Wildcat lately. Just look at what UK did last saturaday.

I hope the players have this same attitude!! That's what allows teams to pull upsets. Newport's "D" will be ready and the "O" is developing a power running game. BEWARE!!!!

16-4 over the last two regular seasons. That's an impressive 80% win percentage. Way to go Big John Schlarman. Get the boys focused for a playoff run!! If the "O" gets on track and the "D" continues to impress maybe an upset is in the making at Mercer in two weeks. Remember the Wildacts have to prove the Spencer game was a fluke first!!!

With the 3 way tie breaker system, the head to head game does not matter. It comes down to points, for the number of wins of the opponents you have beaten(can't be involved in the tie breaker either, so Spencer can't count Newport). I still say Newport would host Spencer if they beat Lloyd(which is a big if!!)

I think Newport finishes second and host Spencer as the third seed, if they beat Lloyd Friday(creating the 3 way tie)

I'm feeling a low scoring game. If Newport pounds the ball, like they have the last few weeks look for a 14-0 game. If Newport tries to get fancy and throw then this could be a long night for the Wildcats. Lloyd has some weapons so controlling the clock would be a wise thing to do!!! Newport looks to regain some momentum going into the playoffs. Have had two good showings in row on "O". This game could give them a big boost if they put up 28 plus points and the "D" pitches another shutout.

Rob Reynolds of Newport is a top quaility coach. Go get em "Big Zeke"

I guess Mercer wont set the record for most points in a season now.

Newport's "D" shows they are for real. I look for some "O" adjustments that will make for a barn burner in the second round of the playoffs.

Newport needs to continue to make some adjustments on "O". If they can contol some clock and force a 4 quarter game, they have a good shot. Mercer has only been tested in one game so far. I will say Newports "D" will be looking to show improvement. The question will be if they can contain the speed of Mercer. So far this year Newport has the athlethes to stay in all the games the played. I have a good feeling big John Schlarman will have the troops ready to compete. In my mind these two will be playing in round two of the playoffs, so all is not lost no matter what the outcome is!!!!
