Cordia had a game the night before and the leading score for James Taylor hurt his ankle early in the second period and was unable to play most of the game. The are a great team, but the lions are playing better

Hands down... Morton Combs Athletic Complex ..not a bad seat in the house....lighting is super....giant 4 sided scoreboard....great place to see a game!

Calhoun and Mullins are deceased. Coach Combs and at least 5 of the players will be there, as well as the Cheerleaders and Managers. Big night for the Carr Creek Indians!

Knott County Central will mark the 50th Anniversary of Carr Creek High's 1956 State Championship Friday February 10 at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex. The celebration will take place between games fo the Knott Central-Perry Central Girls/Boys Doubleheader.

Agreed 14th is not very strong, BUT the Regional Tournament will be the most entertaining of the 16.Parity has arrived with any of the 8 teams ( I know, we don't know the eight teams yet) having an excellent chance of winning! That's how close the 14th is! :dancingpa

First of all you are the only one on here bashing coaches. Funny thing is you only bash the schools who have let you go for whatever reason,i.e Knott Central, Pike Central, and Betsy Layne who would not hire you. Therfore you rave on about how bad the administration is, attacking Superintendents. The inept one is YOU Bravefeart!

Great game! Zach Hurt hits a 3 at :03 seconds to give Lions a 1 point lead, after timeout by Buckhorn; officials add 1 second to game clock ( good call),after a timeout by Cordia, Buckhorn inbounds at baseline, Buckhorn player dribbles to mid court hits Davidson streaking to basket for winning score. Zach Hurt had 26 for Cordia, Riley and Gay 17 each for Buckhorn. Abner a big game off of bench for Buckhorn. Cory Gamble (playing at about 70 % due to illness ) played well for Cordia as did James Taylor.

Cody Bartrum and Charles Pike of Knott Central alternated guarding Gilbert and held him to 13 ots with 6 of those coming late in the game. Still Gilbert is in the top three players in the region.

Just asking a question patman...relax. I have not done ANY research and don't plan to. Where the scholarships come from really doesn't matter, just as long as the kids get the money needed. touchy subject? Touchy...No. You were the one calling my hand. I simply stated the facts as they are. Knott County businesses are happy to give the scholarships and are happy to host the tournament.

Really??? Community Trust Bank is based in Knott County??? Whayne Supply is based in Knoot County??? Food City is based in Knott County??? I never knew. The scholarships are given in $1000 (i.e. Knott Fiscal Court,WKCB, TV Service,etc.) lump sums, Knott Co over the years have given more ($1000 Scholarships) than any other counties. The companies you mentioned are Corperate Sponsors. If you still think I'm wrong call WYMT 606-436-5757. Do a little research next time.
