1956 Carr Creek State Champs To Be Honored

Knott County Central will mark the 50th Anniversary of Carr Creek High's 1956 State Championship Friday February 10 at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex. The celebration will take place between games fo the Knott Central-Perry Central Girls/Boys Doubleheader.

Who were the players when they won state?

 

 

E A Couch, Jim Calhoun, John C. Mullins,Ray Stamper,Warren Amburgey,Ed Richardson, Marcus Combs, Freddy Maggard,Estill Adams, and Bobby Shepherd,

Morton Combs,Head Coach and Willard "Sprout" Johnson Assistant Coach with Don Hylton and Donald Guy Combs Manangers. Calhoun and Mullins are deceased. Coach Combs and at least 5 of the players will be there, as well as the Cheerleaders and Managers. Big night for the Carr Creek Indians!
