I am not discounting their wins. Elliott played Russell well and won at Boyd on the road. Rose Hill would probably move to a tie for third right now along with Rowan who avenged the loss to West.

I think that after last night I would vote for Elliott as #2 right now.

You will have to navigate either Laurel Gorge or Cave Run Lake. With the problems encountered on a recent road trip these could be tough obstacles to overcome. Also this game will be a good measuring stick for both teams as to where they fit right now.

With the trouble Rose Hill had in getting to River Valley will they be able to get to West Liberty on time? If they make it there is this an early statement game for the Royals?

You are probably correct in your assumptions. The only thing that keeps this close is more solid bench play from West. I believe the Rayburn kid provided a lift and they will need someone like him to step up to keep it within reach.

I agree that it sound like Coach W is doing a solid job. I think he will only get better as he gains experience.

Awful tough timing for West. 4 in 5 days and one of those went 2 ots. Elliott is a solid basketball team and is a tough draw on any night. Coach W will see what kind of character his kids hae tonight. I have a feeling that it will be hard fought early, but there will be nothing in the tank for the second half.

Sorry about the covered wagon joke, was on a bus once that carried a team that had just defeated a very good Elliott County team and had to duck in the seats and take cover because the glass in the windows would not bear the force of the objects being thrown at the bus. I do believe that Elliott County will have something to say about who plays in Rupp this year.
