  1. Heres a link. If that is happening that is a good way of getting spring practice taken away in our state. They need to be reported. http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw25bysport/bl25fb.pdf
  2. Your window starts the following Monday after your last Basketball team is eliminated from postseason play. From that point you have 15 days to get in 10 practices. So if your team makes it to the sweet 16 then you get to start the week after, unless it is spring break, then it will begin after that.
  3. The word is Foley form Frankfort High is intrested.
  4. This is NOT a public/private issue.
  5. Sorry don't know how to use all of the tools yet. I believe we have 2 new ones coming up. Walton-Verona and Bishop Brossart. Don't think for a second that they didn't check things out with the KHSAA
  6. This was sent to the Board of Control because the coaches Advisory Committee voted, overwhelmingly, to go to 6 classes. The BOC will now vote on it. I would think it could go into effect for the 2007 season. This has absolutley nothing to to do with the public/private issue, which I agree, isn't solved. Probably won't be. It is a numbers issue. The upper part of A and AAAA almost doubles the male enrollment of the bottom half of these divisions. Something needs to be done. I know people say it will "water down" the state championships. Its hard for me to believe that any athlete or coach will feel less proud or work with less effort, for their state championship, because there are six classes.
  7. The situation at Bryan Station is an intresting one. From it's history, I 'm not too sure the administration knows whats going on. I believe that there is a lot of potential. The problems there are things like, not getting players to practice. That is not something remedied over night, regardless of who they bring in as coach. Until Fayette Co. makes the kids go to where their supposed to things won't change.
  8. In a sense they have split classes in basketball. They now have the All A tournament. The good teams in class A get to compete for 2 state titles. Especially in girls basketball. I believe that Clinton Co. won( or at least played in the finals of the All A), and also played in the finals of the girls Sweet 16.
  9. First, it is hard for me to believe that a kid or a coach is going to work any less hard because there are only 36 teams in his class. Second, this subject has been brought up because of the descrepency in numbers in 1A and 4A. These are the only two classes where a team has to face a school double their size to win a state championship. It makes it very hard for the bottom half of 1A and 4A to compete in their districts year in and year out.
