  1. Their colors are red, white & blue with the mascot being Generals. Good luck to coach Harris on getting this program up and running. I know that it has been rumored to have ben a possibility for YEARS now. My only question is what girls sport will they be adding? You know that they'll probably have to add something to offset the numbers game.
  2. Brad is a really good kid. I have known him since he and his family moved to Rockcastle County from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a massive player. I only got to see him pay once this season and that was against LexCath. He did a good job in that game. In the games I saw him play last year, he did a marvelous job. I would like to see him go to UK but I don't know where he is thinking about going. The one thing that I do know is that he definitely has the grades to go just about anywhere. If I'm not mistaken he's got between a 3.5-4.0 GPA. That is ALWAYS a plus when the scouts come a calling.
  3. Congrats Jim Shue. This was one that I had no idea what I was doing and it showed. LOL. Looks like I need to stick to the girls basketball contests. LOL.
  4. The Camels could NOT buy a basket this evening. They scored the first four points of the game within the first minute but didn't score again until under a minute remaining in the first quarter. I see them winning some games this year but the shooting has got to get better. They're a really scrappy team.

  6. East - Paintsville West - Louisville Seneca North - Louisville Butler South - Oak Ridge (TN) East/West winner - Paintsville North/South winner - Oak Rige (TN) Grand Champion- Oak ridge (TN) Tiebreaker - 125
  7. I am TOTALLY against the idea of artificial turf of ANY kind in high school athletics. Like I've stated on this board before...it takes away from the true essence of the game.
  8. South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina does as well. A few other states have Christian school state championships too.
  9. I am currently working on a complete list of championship game results from each state. I am going to post my research once the state finals in Texas are complete in TWO weeks. I will have the championship results in each class, the team mascot for both teams in each championship game AND the records too. My post will be a little more in-depth than this one but this was nice to see someone else on here wanted to post results from across the country.
  10. Thanks for the kind words guys. I would have posted something for the Semi-State games but I couldn't find the LitRatings on the CJ website. I had the CantrallRatings but not the LitRatings and the way that I do the games I must have both. NamecipS, I actually just now saw where your name spelled backwards is Spiceman LOL, but anyway, I will look into the accuracy a little later on tonight cause I've gotta finish a paper in a few minutes. Like I said before thanks for the kind words. As soon as the basketball ratings are out I'll try to do something during the basketball season. I will not have the time to do EVERY game but I just might do the Thursday-Saturday games though BUT thats still in the works as I await the bball ratings to come out. Does anyone know when they do come out???
  11. I would LOVE to go but I have two NKU basketball games to work. I wouldn't have been able to go even if Rockcastle County had made the trip.

  14. If you'd take the time to read this entire postings from the thread and the other thread from last week you'll know that the decimals are what the difference is between the average power rating. Please take the time to find out what you're trying to critisize before you do so. THANKS!!!!
  15. Shouldn't the font be red and not have an "s" at the end of "Rocks". :sssh: :thumb: Just kidding around with ya Rockmom!!!
  16. I was just wondering if there would be any other games on the internet this week besides the Rockcastle County/Bell County game on http://www.wrvk1460.com. If there are any out in Western KY please post the site that can be accessed for the games. I will get finished with my NKU basketball duties probably after the games in the eastern part of the state are finished and I'd like to hear some games this week. THANKS!!!!
  17. I have to wait until 2pm Friday to schedule my classes but hopefully I will have a fellow BGPers cousin as my speech professor. :ylsuper:
  18. Thanks for the kind words. If I can get my computer in my room fixed in the near future I was thinking about doing a system for basketball each week but that would take some time to do.....thankfully I'll only have MWF classes in the spring semester.
  19. I never thought about using this formula for the basketball contests on here this year but since you mentoned it........I MOST CERTAINLY WILL DO SO!!!! THANKS :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:
  20. Thanks for the support man!!! For the folks that don't know......I am a math major here at NKU......so that could help yuns see that I like to crunch numbers and takes averages and so on and so forth.
  21. I am not one to put anyone down but why aren't there anymore posters from Madison Southern besides traveler coming on this week. I would at least thought that they would have congratulated the players on a great season or something like the folks from Ashland have with their players. Please don't take this post the wrong way folks.
  22. I personally think that the LCA/NCC game will be closer than the numbers from this system has it. Remember that I just took the Cantrell Rankings and Lit Rankings and averaged them......took the difference between the two competing schools and added six points to the home team. Like I said before, this system doesn't necessarily portray how I PERSONALLY see the games as ending up. I just did this for fun folks.
  23. I'm not going to explain how I came up with this system but it's simple as can be. If you find the thread I posted for last week's games then you'll know how I come up with the numbers that I have come up with. Now for those that have been waiting.....here they are: Class A Mayfield over Metcalfe County by 20.4 Bardstown over Danville by 6.25 Newport Central Catholic over Lexington Christian Academy by 14.65 (I did give NCC the 6 points this week since LCA has to travel to NKY) Somerset over Paintsville by 14.7 Class 2A Fort Campbell over Owensboro Catholic by 14.4 Western over DeSales by 2.1 Newport over Russell by 0.3 Belfry over Sheldon Clark by 26.4 Class 3A Bowling Green over Hopkinsville by 4.05 Bullitt East over Boyle County by 8.3 Highlands over Lexington Catholic by 9.95 Bell County over Rockcastle County by 11.25 Class 4A Warren Central over Christian County by 14.45 St. Xavier over John Hardin by 7.7 Trinity over Boone County by 24.85 Henry Clay over Paul L. Dunbar by 13.65 Everyone please remember that this is something that I do for the heck of it and doesn't necessarily mean that I would personally pick these games to go this way but it's a numbers crunch. Have fun with it and please post your thoughts on this week's predictions.
