It's that time of the season again. Cats and Jackets with 2nd in the district up for grabs at this point. LC is healthy, Jackets are getting there. Forming up into a good game, IMO. Thoughts?

No. Our daughter totaled her car before we could get out of town. She had two of the Ammon brothers with her and they didn't make the trip over to play, either. Everyone is good. Banged up but good. (I guess this goes along with CITH's post above.) Her car did not survive..... We were actually on the school grounds to leave when we got the call.:scared:

LC has to beat W'burg, or the Burg has to beat LC for either to have hope for 2nd. Should be a great game.

District pretty much decided now. Eagles FIRMLY in the driver's seat. They have earned it.

This one was decided late by a Clinton botched snap recovered by LC, from what I understand.

This sounds like it is becoming a tennis match on kick offs....

sf, that is what I think, too. The game over here was a slug fest in the rain. Unless there is a different C'ville that I have not seen showing up to play the Jackets, the Eagles looked physical enough over here. They compare favorably to Harlan, a team which gave the Jackets fits. Williamsburg can win this game, but the kids DO NOT need to go over there thinking that C'ville will lay down or not bring some big pops.

Just stating what I saw. I know what you are saying, but I saw what I saw.....

I have seen a lot of kids come back from broken bones, and cannot see someone in their first game or two being an impact player. Yes, they are healed. It becomes a mental thing and as the game wears on and they run more, the limp usually returns. As the season goes on, they usually get better, but not to where they were before the injury. Usually takes the off season to return to 100%. This will be a VERY physical game, IMO. People coming back from injuries and taking their first licks usually tells the tale. Campbellsville had some kids out last week. How are they doing now?

A lot of football left for both teams for this one to decide the whole shebang. As MMJ said, the Jackets still have to come over to Lynn Camp. I can see a three way tie brewing up again this year.... If the Eagles are healthier than the Jackets, I can see them taking the win. They play a lot like Harlan. Throw a little more, but have a beefy line and can run the ball right at you. That hurt W'burg against the Dragons a lot....

With Hooker, Clay had more speed. Without, I am going to say the Colonels. I don't know what Clay's 2nd QB looks like.:idunno:

I think CC will score. Maybe two or three times. The running game for the Tigers, even without the QB, will be tough to completely stop. Even for WC. This, IMO, would have been a game to see if Hooker had been healthy. I've seen both WCHS and CCHS play and think they would have matched up well.

We're open over here this week. I don't know what I am going to do with the week off and thought I would see what some of the rest of you do when the home team is not playing. Do you go to other games, watch tv, what????

I voted for Clay before knowing about the injury. WCHS will roll if Hooker is out, IMO. He is an athlete......:scared: Here's to a speedy recovery for the young man!:thumb: Get well soon!

BUT, when you are getting kids back that have had big injuries, you can't automatically put a lot of stock in them. Trust me on this one. We've been a MASH unit for 3 solid years. You take what they can give you when they come back, but don't count on them to be what they were earlier. The Eagles will be tough for W'burg, Berea and Clinton to take out. They are athletic and fast, too. I think that the line play for C'ville will make the difference between the Jackets and Eagles. Once again, JMO.

I figured W'burg would pull this one out. They still have the personnel to score on you. I disagree, Blazer. I think Campbellsville is now firmly in the driver's seat for the district. I think that LC, Williamsburg and Berea are playing for second at this point....

This was a mistake and defensive battle. Hard fought by both teams. Hats off to the Eagles. Steele and Persons had great games. Both teams had big defensive stops and LC had some mistakes that cost them big. Well, now its on to the open week....

I think this will be a close game. IF the Cats play like they did last week, it could be very interesting over here. Most of the missing starters may return to LC's lineup friday. We're going to need them, IMO....

We'll be praying for the family down here.

From the experience we had against Clay, fast, very fast describes them very amply....
