Well, there was absolutely no need in the 2 point conversions in the 4th quarter. I know someone said that the extra point kicking of SV was lacking, so wouldn't that have been the perfect time to get some practice in? I mean, there are a ton of different ways to keep a score respectable.

I think that Coach Haywood will have his offense working a little smoother this week at practice and we will see some more of Corey running the ball against Ashland. Belfry's D looked very nice against NCC. If the offense can pick up their game then Belfry should come home with another "w" this week. Belfry 24 Ashland 7

I've never sat on the visitor's side of the stadium...I always wondered how loud it sounds from over there. As far as the bus ride, the Belfry boys know exactly how it feels. They had to travel on yellow school buses to Middlesboro and then to Erlanger in 2003. They had to travel to Louisville on school buses that year also....now that I think of it...the long rides didn't really bother them at all that year...

I was born in Virginia..does that mean I have to give back my Belfry Diploma???:sssh:

It was a great opening night game! Both teams had strong defenses, but needing some fine tuning on offense. Belfry had a lot of players cramping up tonight I noticed (which isn't unusual in the first game). I'm excited to see what the rest of the season brings out in my Pirates.

I just hate it for the kids that are playing...leave it to adults to mess everything up for the kids.

I have to say that Bowe looked good from the shotgun tonight. He has a very nice arm. The passes were right there. The hitting was impressive too. I'm getting more and more ready for August every minute.

I don't know about early on, but I do know that he did a great job last year!:thumb: I can't wait until football season starts again. Belfry is opening with 3 hard games. I hated to lose the Ironton game, but I think that Coach Haywood did an excellent job filling the gap left by the loss of Ironton with Ashland.

If he that flat out better than anyone else, he should be prepared to handle the responsibility and pressure that the other team is going to put on him. Isn't this one of the things that make a good player great?? Being able to adjust and make something happen on the court. Besides, some of these "so-called" better players are only that much better in their own eyes and the eyes of their parents. But I agree to disagree with you.:thumb:

I think that he did more than ok...he earned his spot!
