I hope the winner of this game wins the region.

IMO they didnt beat the best team in the Region tonight but oh well. But honestly Paintsville is well coached but is way to small and that costed them. But Belfry has some real good size so that will not work well for them. I like Valley and if we was to loose Id want to see them win it. But Im taking Belfry 72 to 58 pulling away on foul shots at the end. But one thing weve learned already is anything can happen

If Belfry makes SV guards beat them by scoring, they should have an easy win.

 

One thing they can't do is try to pressure those guys because they are young. They can handle the ball and make others around them better.....but they aren't going to beat you going to the hole or shooting the rock.

Belfry will be ready for the rematch against SV. This year it is on neutral ground and in a great atmosphere.

If SV gets their post involved early, I think it will open the perimeter up as the game goes on. SV has the upperhand in the post, however Belfry has good guard play so it will be interesting to see how the young kids from Valley match up with Maynard and Case.

I dont think Valley has the upper hand in the post. Belfry has some serious size down low and will be ok. We have Bowman and Steele both tall and strong. I think Steele is 6'4 and Bowman might be the same. Then we have May who can go down low. Also we have Reed nd Warren who comes off the bench and can mix it up well down low. Reed can get some serious rebounds and does very well underneath. The game against Pburg was one downlow.

the key to this game will be the big man play from both teams......It will be on D for the Pirates ...Bowman and Steele have to stop the riddle kid without gettin in foul trouble which has been hard for them to do all year.......If they can stay out of foul trouble Belfry will win.....But if Valley pounds the ball inside it could be a long night for the Pirates......I am goin to say MY PIRATES by 5 in a close one

Another key to this game is the X factor which was the difference in tuesday night's game which is dustin may.....If he he takes the ball strong to the whole the same way as the other night he will have a great game......he was the key to the last victory and he has to step up for a sophmore in another big game......and i think he will

The game will be won in the post, I agree. I'm anxious to see the guard matchup as well, and how the young players from Valley play against Maynard and Case. Mitchell Riddle needs to have a consistently good game for Valley, as does Maynard for Belfry for their teams to get the victory.

After watching all 4 games in the opening round, I believe Belfry will win the region. They have a very physical team and good guard play. If they can play consistent for 2 more games, they will find themselves playing in rupp.

I do think Belfry has the most talent in the region but it depends on how bad they want it.. That is what beat us against Pike Central we came out flat and played flat
