Without a doubt this was one of the best H.S. games that i have watched.Ironically last years matchup was equally as good!! I thought that ALL of the kids played with LOTS of class which both these programs pride themselves on but sometimes it doesn't appear that way. Thank goodness for this rivalry,it is Northern Ky football at its finest. I think many of us thought this was going to come down to the last team with the ball was going to win and it was.No doubt that the next matchup should even be better because it is for all the marbles.............. By the way GO BIRDS!!!

Congrats to a great group of young men!! I went to about half of their games this year and was impressed more each week. I hope to see all of you in uniform for tomorrows varsity game against Covcath. Again way to go Class of 2010 :dancingpa WIN For QUINN

There were 15 seniors their from the 9th region,all of them were from different schools.They did not allow kids that were going to play in college to play because the NCAA does not consider this a sanctioned game. I knew about 3/4 the roster , it was tough seeing my Bluebird in a Ryle jersey :eek:

It was a fun enviroment @ Ryle H.S. last night watching this game.A nice crowd was able to watch the the UK seniors light up the basket with Patrick Sparks leading the way with 60 plus points. It took a while for the 9th region boys to settle in but when they did they played well. Thanks for the years of thrills Seniors from both teams,it's been fun following all of you...............:dancingpa

Wow,take a chill pill !! This cheer was out long before Elder used it. It sure is nice the way Highlands students travel and cheer for their team ! I sure hope they don't COPY any other cheers................:dancingpa

What a fun game to watch!!! Coach B had his boys ready to play tonight.I thought the boys from SG out hustled,out hearted and out played the Mustangs but the mustangs out sized and out scored the BigTrains.I beleive that SG had the Mustangs on their heels all night but their bench depth was just to much. I would pick the Pelle boys on my team ANYDAY ! Good luck Brossart..........

Two very good teams matching up in this one.I would have to pick the Birds by about a dozen 63-50,ok lets call it a bakers dozen............ You know us Cake Eaters ! I have to agree that the Birds are a little deeper than the Breds and I think the loss of Heil will play a difference.He was always ready to play against his Ft.T friends.

It was a great game to watch tonite ! Two top 20 teams in the state and it came down to the bitter end.AJ is the REAL DEAL ! I watched him warm up and play the 1st Qtr and thought what does he have that would make him Mr.B-ball...........he must have heard me and went on to score 30+ , he is good. Birds played hard and will be ready to play in the district tourny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have easy directions to the school from Ft.Thomas and the approx time it will take.

Congrats to HolyCross on tonights victory. They were all but defeated with 2 minutes left and they didn't throw in the towel. I wish I could blame this one on the refs but I think the Birds just self distructed.

I believe that Highlands Jeff Vories is very close to his 1000th point.We were sitting around after Tuesdays game trying to come up with Jeff's unofficial points and his dad came up within 50 points of 1000. Of course if anyone knows his dad,Mike, they know he didn't care about scoring

They have been playing a solid 8 deep and I believe could even go deeper. It is the same group from last year just another year of experience......

I thought the Birds played very well . They started off hotter than a firecracker but soon cooled off and Lafayette got right back into it. I have only seen him play once but "Wilt"erson is the real deal . He has a wing span that is as wide as a Comair Jet. I don't know how consistant he has been playing this year but he had the complete package on friday. The kids said he is a very polite kid on the court ....for whatever that is worth. I know there are several good players in NKy this year but IMO Jeffrey Vories is a solid top 5 player. And about his father Mike ,he still doesn't even pass in the church leagues

How can you leave the Vories kid off this list???? He is imo the most natural senior player in NKy this year. He hustles every minute that he is on the floor both on offense and defense,he never shows unsportsmanship,is a proven clutch player,offensively is a threat from both inside and out and most of all I beleive that he is highly respected by his competition. I am not saying that there aren't a few other players that meet this same billing but I do think he is a top 5 player in NKy....Just my thoughts............................

The Birds played very well tonight and walked away with their 15th victory of the year. Jeff Vories IS the best guard in NKy without a doubt this year. The kid is awesome!! I thought that the refs lacked alot tonight against both teams.The biggest thing that I see is a lack of consistancy in their calls.Maybe the 3rd ref should be used during all varsity games. I know it's a thankless job and I by all means do not want to quit my job for it. :eek: :eek:
