  1. Good, valid points. I would say though, if it wasn't for Highlands in 04', I believe they are state champs. I think this may be the team to do it, but time will tell.
  2. These games will all be live on ICN6 Monday and Tuesday night as a FYI.
  3. :dancingpa 2 out of 3 years. I'm sure the rest of the bluegrass will be thrilled to see the Colonel Crazies back at Rupp again.
  4. I thought that was him I saw on TV at the SEC tourney. Good to see his grandson got to get in the game at the end last night.
  5. I don't think any CCH player is expecting anything less than the hardest 32 minutes they have played all year. Highlands already won at CCH, I consider them the favorites. Big rivalry, lots of seniors on the floor, should be fun.
  6. Maybe I missed this in the other thread, but is Niemi piloting Ryle tonight?
  7. Highlands by 20 over Ludlow CCH by 15 over Ryle Holmes by 10-12 over Dixie NCC over Conner by 5 or less CCH over Birds by a bucket Holmes over NCC by a bucket CCH over Holmes by 5
  8. The draw was this morning. I'll take Zig's word on it.
  9. Coach Hart had some quotable moments from the stands, and was pretty vociferous in supporting his guys. I doubt he has a voice today.
  10. Silver Grove jumped out to a 11-5 lead, and led at the end of the 1st, 16-14. Brossart dominated the 2nd Q and led 28-20 at the half. They then bumped the lead up to 35-20, before Silver Grove went on another run to slice the lead to 4 or 5. The closest the Grove got was 44-42, and then Brossart pulled away. Corey Pelle probably finished with about 30. Brossart didn't play their best game, but did what they had to.
  11. The radio guys said the line to get into the game was 3 blocks long.
  12. What about the Schmerge kid? Wasn't he the leading scorer last year on the frosh team that included this Sorrell kid?
  13. District was not seeded, and they drew each other in round 1. They were #1 and #2 in the region all year, and had met in the regional final the previous year. Both teams had almost everyone back from the year before, and both were highly ranked in the state as well. It was probably one of the most anticipated district games I can ever remember.
  14. The district champs wear home jerseys in round 1, and then I'm pretty sure if two district champs meet in the semi's or finals, its a toss-up.
  15. The 1st time the programs ever met was in 98' when Nathan Seiter banked in the 3 for the win. CCH has never won at Brossart. However, if these teams played prior to 98', I would venture to say CCH would have won every year. Brossart wasn't on the map until the late 90's.
  16. Steve had one successful surgery, and was suppose to have the other one completed by now, but it has been put off due to swelling in his ankles. Hopefully he will be able to have it before the school year is complete. Steve still frequents most of the Grove games, and still gets pretty animated. He is enjoying his time with his kids though for now. I would expect him to get back into coaching soon, but across the pond where he lives.
  17. Anybody who has seen CCH frosh this year: How has the big boy Schadler done? I know he is what 6'5 or 6'6, and maybe 250 pounds. I guess he is pretty raw since his name hasn't been mentioned. Does he have potential to be a dominant big man in NKY? I'm guessing there aren't too many frosh his size.
