This is a real injustice to students, I guess a more shorter version of this could be explained by just saying all of this is TBA.

A win-win for both Hinson and Augusta. Jason will be able to stay in the game and also provide for his family and Robin and Augusta will inherit experience on the bench and leadership that will be passed on in developing the Panther program from the ground level up. Kudos to Augusta for stepping up and giving Jason a job. It will be something to see the armani suit on Hinson matched up on the bench in the historic gym at Augusta:thumb:

What is the status of the school and its financial hardship. Haven't heard any updates as far their campaign fundraiser that was issued out to all alumni? How secure is the school for this upcoming year? Could someone in the know enlighten?

I have no clue how this tournament will shape out and who will make it to Fridays championship game. What if a school(since we know Mason graduates Friday) is playing in the title game? There are 3 seniors on this team that would graduate at 8pm Friday night, how in the world is this supposed to happen. What kind of message is this sending to the kids? In my opinion, the scheduling could take a different route, but what has been said is that the rest of the week is set in stone.

How many schools will conduct graduation ceremonies this Friday?

Has Hinson found a job outside of elementary AD and head coach? What is sad is that he gave up a pretty good job to go and be the head coach and pursue an education. It would seem to me that they could find a way not to cut his job in the school.

I know for a fact the Louisville Select did not win the Division I AAU National Championship 2 out of the past three years. For one, they cant play in the 12u division for 3 straight years unless you are bending the rules, and secondly GBL from California won last years 12u Division 1 Championship in Branson Missouri. It will be interesting to see if the Louisville Select team is playing in the national tourney in Kingsport, TN in the D1 12u division.

The best team I have seen so far in the 12u is the West Virginia Thunder. On the season they are 32-3, have only played in the age group once where they won the Bloomington Super Regional,which qualified them for the national tourney in Kingsport, TN. The team played in the Deep South Classic in North Carolina in the 13u age division and finished second to the Sportsvania Sting from Virginia. They lost in the finals by 2 points. Recently,they competed in the Greater Cincinnati Classic in the 14u division. The Thunder went undefeated in pool play, and then ran the tables in the tourney against some really good competition. Their state tourney is next weekend in Franklin,OH.

WKYT reported this morning that Hicks was on the Knott County Central campus yesterday and reported the possibility of him leaving Scott County. Said the job was offered to him and others that were reported in the mix were Bill Mike Runyon, Dave Fraley and Rodney Woods. KYT said that Woods already said he was not interested.

Its called a couple of things, don't put your team in a position to play a team 6 times in a season, and before he got there that schedule was set. Don't set your tournament up to where your playing teams in your district/region that you know your playing multiple times already. Its also called give the coach more than one year despite who he is, give him 3 to 4 years to try and right the ship. Heck Coach Cal at UK said if you want immediate turnaround with this program at Kentucky, you have hired the wrong guy. Its also called lets be realistic and realize what you have inherited, what injuries you have encountered, get aclimated with the kids, let the kids learn a system to play in and be comfortable and with the youth that Bracken has, this could have been accomplished but not when you hire a coach and let him go after one season. This realistically too many won't ever be accomplished when you have some kids that will play for 3 different coaches in their 4 year high school career. What a shame for the kids. Ok we can move on. Best of luck to whoever they hire this time. Sounds like a one could put a finger on several different issues surrounding this topic and I don't think its fair to point it at just the head coach! Sure responsibilities have to fall on the head ball coach, but unfortunately in this situation one season is not enough.

Not all true as they were minus their point guard who had the most experience of all the players and Coach Breeze walked into that job with no experienced point player, yet they still won 9 games, taking nothing away from the previous coach before Coach Breeze as Coach Fite is a good one as well. Has Coach Breeze signed a contract with Pulaski? Anyone fill me in on that one?

Bear, I never said there wouldn't be a new coach, all I have said throughout is that there hasn't been a resignation therefore there hasn't been a change in coaching yet. Nice try in putting words into my mouth, I am just setting back and enjoying the :popcorn: over this topic. I won't need to read any newspaper, really I hope it works out for this next person, but based on what I have heard that has went on with this coaching situation, I haven't agreed with how it has been handled but it really doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks, only the ones that do the hiring. Hopefully they will make the right decision. Hopefully politics won't rule and hopefully before school is out they will have a coach. Most kids right now are in the weight room, having open gyms. Is this still taking place at Fleming. Has there been very many interviews? As far as if it were Mason County, couldn't answer that one for you. I just know that it wouldn't take very long to fill the spot.

He is the coach, as far as I know there hasn't been a resignation. Do you have his paperwork?

All this talk about who is qualified, whether that be a person internally or externally really shouldn't be the concern at this point for the folks in Bracken County. The main issue to resolve and take a look at is the fact that some of these student/athletes will be playing for their 3rd coach in as many years. Pretty sad if you ask me. If you ask me, a few people need to take a long look at themeselves in the mirror as their is no way this is right for the kids. A real injustice to the kids, cause all they want to do is play ball and win, and if you have no consistency as your leader, there is no room for gelling and never any chemistry. These kids don't deserve what has happened to them and if I were a parent I would be knocking on someones door asking a bunch of questions. PK on the girls side paid his dues as a longtime assistant and promoting him into the head coach position was a solid move for not only himself but also for the girls at Bracken.

Then if the man has been fired, why is he still working in the school system? Your statement above makes Trump look really bad, cause when that man fires you, you are stripped of the job on the spot.

I think one of the reasons why the middle school season is so short is because most are done by October 15th which is the start of the high school season and with the trend happening today, middle school kids are bumped up to either freshmen, jv and varsity.
