LexCath 80 Scott County 54 - 11th region semis!
Score watching? That is a solid way to judge games. Have you ever seen state tournament scores? There are always several blowouts there as well. Plus, we are talking about the 11th region. When you have 4 top 15 teams, there are probably going to be some blowouts. These are great teams.

LexCath 80 Scott County 54 - 11th region semis!
Just a little info I picked up through the grapevine a few minutes ago. The technical that was called on Hicks was for a "hand motion" Hicks made. Now unless he flipped him the bird, I cant see a hand motion getting a T. Also, the ref that called the T and subsequently took over the game has been on Hicks scratch list for the last several years. :sssh: Who thinks he will be back on there next year? One more thing, apparently I just found out a friend of mine spoke with one of the stat keepers who keeps track of this stat: Calls a ref makes one way or the other. The gentleman who called the technical blew his whistle 20 times and it was 16 to 4 in LC's favor.

I agree, the game wasnt called well at all at either end. I cant tell you how many times on both ends of the floor I said "Wow, they missed that one."

LexCath vs. Bryan Station - 11th Region Championship
I liked how Ligon won the region Coach of the Year award after Station tried to get rid of him over the summer. It's a nice little "in your face" from him to the administration. A state title would be the icing on the cake. Then how about he leaves them after doing that? I say Ligon takes the next big job that opens up in Louisville.

I dont know about jumping right over Phares. Stewart came in for the dunk and Phares came over in help and went up against Stewart. He kind of dunked by Phares. He did put him on a poster though, it was a great dunk.

LexCath vs. Bryan Station - 11th Region Championship
In a game that seems to be pretty even, I think you always take the team with the great player, so I will go with Station. With the way Catholic passed the ball and handled it tonight, Station could really abuse them. They did not look good for long stretches in taking care of the ball.

I dont know about that. Tonight's game was pretty ugly at times.

LexCath 80 Scott County 54 - 11th region semis!
The better team definitely won. The whole was basically insurmountable for SC after that first quarter run. 15-0 to start the game is crazy. SC got it to 4 a couple of times I believe, the last being in the 4th quarter. Each time the Cards got it to 4 or 6 Cath would all of a sudden be up 10. On the one in the 4th quarter, it was like they got all the momentum and within striking distance, and it honestly seemed like the refs took over from there. I dont think anyone has any idea what Hicks did there. Then all of a sudden the whistles start blowing (mostly from the same ref that called the T) players were getting T'd up and the game was over. I'm not generally one to put a lot of blame on the refs, but it really did seem like they all of a sudden decided to take over in the 4th quarter. SC probably wouldnt have won with the technical, etc. but it got out of hand quickly in what I feel was a result of the T and ensuing whistle-fest.

That was pretty nuts. That came out of nowhere, especially just coming off a backdoor cut.

Anybody hearing any? It's getting about that time. I hear stuff from time to time, but you always hear stuff in CKY.

Bryan Station vs. Dunbar Predictions
Yeah, they have already moved the girls games to tomorrow night and will make a final decision tomorrow morning on both of those games even being played. The girls have to finish before the boys, so you may end up seeing the boys have to wait a few days. 4-6 inches tonight and 3-5 tomorrow is the forecast, but I say we get 4 max.

Bryan Station vs. Dunbar Predictions
It's not a school day. They will play. I dont think Lex. or Richmond will see any more than 3 inches, and it will be lucky to get to that. What was the outcome of the other two meetings? By that I mean margin of victory.

Lynn Camp 70 Bell Co 68
Wanted to go make it down for this game, but had a league tournament game tonight. My apologies for all the questions.

:thumb: Believe it or not, it is quite possible to be good in middle school and not cut it as a high school player. Our two top scorers in middle school never played a varsity minute in high school.

Did Station and Dunbar play this year?

Lynn Camp 70 Bell Co 68
Did Bell have a shot to tie or win at the end? I didnt see that in Bubba's "coverage." What were Zachery's numbers? Opinions are...

SC is going to have to step their game up. They have been playing well below what they are capable of the last couple of weeks and if they dont get their mind right, their season will end on Saturday. These seniors have to step up and play hard and as a team and not quit on their teammates. What time are the games Saturday?
