  1. 13-0 MC. They went for a 2 point conversion and failed
  2. I know this has been discussed but I've seen it listed at a couple of times KHSAA lists the game at 8pm and I assume KHSAA lists the local time and Columbia is in Central time zone, so does that mean kickoff is at 9pm eastern/8pm central? Seems kind of late to me
  3. I would be shocked if the champion didn't come out of the western half of the state. Trinity and Ryle both came to Lexington this year and Trinity looked much more dominant in their game. I watched the Trinity game in person and some of the Ryle game online.
  4. I like Mayfield's win at 6A McCracken. I think McCracken is one of the better 6A teams.
  5. I think Belfry is really good. They destroyed 6A Tates Creek. Tates Creek demolished Henry Clay yesterday and Henry Clay played Ryle down to the wire. Ryle is good, maybe they just had a let down in 2nd half vs Henry Clay.
  6. Male's 1st half scoring drives were very short so their D had too play lots of snaps on a very hot night. That is why their D got tired in 2nd half and Trinity was able to run on them. I didn't like Male's fake punt because the punter didn't line up deep enough to signal a punt was comng.
  7. 1. Trinity (6A) - The Rocks have wins over top teams from TN and KY and a national top 25 ranking 2. Bowling Green (5A) - Purples impressive wins include a running clock over a strong 5A team (Christian County) and a statement win over 6A St X 3. Male (6A) Amost winning at Trinity was a very impressive showing by the Bulldogs 4. Belfry (3A) the Pirates are just rolling so far. Corbin would be an interesting matchup in the state semifinals. 5. Johnson Central (4A) They have two impressive wins over a couple of the best teams in WV. 6. St. Xavier (6A) Tigers QB returned for a blowout win over a good Central team. They also hung with Bowling Green and won at Lex Cath without their star QB 7. Simon Kenton (6A) They routed a very good CAL team to start the season and haven't looked back since 8. Scott County (6A) Cardinals have been a hard team to figure out. We will know a lot more after they host Lafayette next week. 9. Mayfield (2A) Winning at McCracken last week showed they are deserving of a top ten ranking. 10. Lafayette (6A) they have really only played one good team and that was a blowout loss at home to Trinity. However since Trinity is very good and Lafayette has some very good players, I'm keeping them ranked until I see how they do vs Scott Co. I'm keeping my eye on Corbin. They will be ranked if they win their next two games which includes a neutral site battle with Mayfield. I'll rank Cooper next week if they can beat Simon Kenton.
  8. 34-21 Male. Midway thru 3rd. Male's 5th pass td covered 5 yards on 3rd and 5.
  9. Male also picked off a pass in 1st qtr
  10. Male has TD passes of 80, 88, 38, and 36 yards all were over the top of coverage. They forced 2 fumbles that the recovered and also recovered an onside kick. 27-21 Male late in 2nd qtr.
  11. Danville/Corbin is the other game I'm considering, along with GRC/Montgomery. I want to watch Belfry this year but I guess I can wait until they play at Johnson Central to end the year. Hopefully they won't rest their starters that game.
  12. Cooper beat NCC 45-14 earlier this year. Most experts say that Belfry is better than Cooper (I would agree.) What makes people think NCC will be able to keep this close? Did NCC just have a bad game against Cooper? I'm trying to decide whether to go to this game or Male/Trinity tonight. I live in Lexington and want to attend whichever game will be more competitive.
  13. I don't know much about SK. Maybe I have them a little too low.
  14. Good point. Capital is ranked #3 in WV even after the lost to Johnson Central so they must be a solid team. I heard Johnson Central put in a dominant effort against them. Johnson Central plays another highly ranked WV team next week so if they win big I will continue to be impressed.
  15. You might be right. I know Male lost an awful lot of seniors from last year. We will learn a lot about Male this week as they travel to Trinity. If Male can make a ballgame out of it that will be impressive, as Trinity is top 20 in the nation.
  16. Maybe S. Warren lost two much talent from last year? Greenwood's slim margin of victory (8 points) over Allen Co Scottsville (a team that lost to Daviess Co) kept them out of my top 10. I strongly considered both Manual and Mayfield but McCracken had a better performance over Paducah Tilghman than Mayfield did. We will learn a lot when Mayfield plays McCracken this week. Manual only beat Central by 1 point and then Central turned around and lost to Corbin by 6 and CAL by 30 so that kept Manual out of my top 10.
  17. My post week 2 state rankings. 1. Trinity (6A) 2. Bowling Green (5A) 3. Belfry (3A) 4. Male (6A) 5. Johnson Central (4A) 6. St X (6A) 7. Scott Co.(6A) 8.Simon Kenton (6A) 9. Lafayette (6A) 10. McCracken Co. (6A) I will move Mayfield in next week if they beat McCracken. These rankings are just my opinion based on limited knowledge. Thoughts?
  18. I'm looking forward to the Belfry @ JC game to end the regular season!
  19. Yes, I will probably have to park in the neighborhood streets.
  20. Thank you! I wonder if they split sessions or if 1 ticket gets you in to both games on that day?
  21. Do y'all think this will be a sellout? I'm wondering if I should arrive early. I'm not sure how big the stadium is.
  22. I was looking on the KHSAA website but I couldn't find what time and date the 6A championship game was, 5A championship game was, etc. Have the specific times not been released yet? If so, anyone know when they will be released?
  23. LC is rolling. St X can't stop the slant. But X just got a big kick off return.
