  1. Do you have any solid evidence for this? I would be curious to hear of it from someone closer to the KHSAA if it is indeed true.
  2. They may not be a passing team by trade, but I suspect they do more of it than Belfry.
  3. I agree with that. Trinity and X still are Co#1's in the largest class.
  4. Actually I think there is another team that should be on HHS's schedule if Dixie drops out.
  5. Listening to it on the radio I gathered that too.
  6. Rather we know how to stay focused on the topic at hand. You see Trinity fans have an understanding of staying on topic and not bringing in unrelated details to try to assuage the anguish of the multiple lopsided losses. You see X fans seem to think it is only fair if they have numerous lopsided wins against Trinity. The moment our boys broke 35 points 4 times in a row it became personal. I don't seem to recall the same level of self assured acrimony when X won 36-18 in 04, 48-16 in 05, 30-6 in 2008, 32-7 and 34-10 in 2009. Of course if we want to go back before BGP we can. 40-0 in 1995, 31-13 in 1981, 34-12 in 1967, 46-6 in 1964, 48-6 in 1960 and of course the one only recently tied 48-0 in 1956. Forgive me if I find any hurt feelings a bit misplaced since X still leads in number of blowouts 11-4. Take the smug to another part of the forum and talk football here.
  7. Without some unified policy of spending in each member nation this was bound to happen at some point. If Germany weren't more or less forced into it as a requirement in order to be allowed to reunite then I doubt they would have gone along with it. The socialized systems of Europe might see some trimming back in the near future if they want to be financially viable.
  8. Even hearing folks talk about the idea of being restricted by what schools you can or can't attend based on your place of residence, to this day, sounds odd to me. I went to grade schools far from my home St. Joe's, St. Therese and then St. Rose before I ended up at Trinity for high school.
  9. The Catholic schools in Louisville, no matter the grade level, can take students from any part of town, or the surrounding counties or even southern Indiana if the families want to make the financial commitment for them to attend. By that same token all need based aid is done by a company chosen by the KHSAA out of state to go over the families' financial records to determine the financial awards. No one gets better than 50% aid no matter who they are. I was once told by someone close to the program that Michael Bush shadowed at Trinity and wanted to attend, but on account of his family's financial situation the aid that they would have received would not have been sufficient to cover expenses.
  10. I have been married twice. The first time was to a girl who came from a traditional New York Italian family only 2 generations back from the old country, the current wife is from a Croatian-Irish family that has been in the states for some time. When I was engaged to the first I remember talking to her father(traditional head of the Italian household) and he told me that he thought it was silly that I considered asking for his blessing. He said it was his daughter's decision and he had no say in the matter. Quite the opposite of what I would have thought. Second time around I was more or less told by my current wife that I needed to ask her parents' blessing (mom and dad are divorced) individually. It wasn't the parents wanting me to do it, it was the daughter. So in my experience. I have no bloody clue what to expect.
  11. Oddly I have always referred to my parents' friends by their first names, and most adults for that matter. I was an odd child.
  12. Just be glad they didn't run a fake FG...
  13. The way I look at it if your #1s are still in, then it is okay to leave in ours. I wouldn't have objected had we taken them out.
  14. Bad snap on a punt that went back out of the endzone.
  15. In how many polls? Couldn't have been that good of a #2 in the country if you were down 28-7 at halftime and still managed to lose to a team that gave up 4 turnovers in the game.
  16. I will call a relatively close game with Trinity winning 38-3.
  17. It's so cute when St. X players talk trash. You guys are just so adorable.
  18. Wow. The fact that the game was pretty close for most of the first half makes me wonder what happened in the 2nd.
  19. The only complaint I really have about the district setup for T, X, M and H is the fact that at no point in time had these 4 ever been in the same district. Male, Manual and St. X had but considering they are very close to each other it always made sense. Trinity being in the district makes less sense when you look at the other schools closer to it. In the end it doesn't matter much, but I just feel like the gerrymandered the district to try to make schools outside of Louisville happy.
  20. As long as the console FPS crowd is cool with me trolling around and lambasting their degeneration of the genre from the purity that once was the PC versions.
