Covington Catholic moves to #1 in the Cantrall ratings
Heavens no, but I don't think they would score enough to win. I wouldn't expect them to score more than 17 at best against the Rocks, with 10 being the most likely score.

True, I meant the starters. Should have been more specific.

Not terribly surprising. T has been resting starters in district play and Beatty has been showing restraint. Get to the running clock and playing 8 minute quarters in the 2nd half. No need to keep putting points on teams that, were it not for district reasons, would never otherwise be on the schedule. T will definitely be less restrained this week against Ballard though.

Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
Have you heard of Michael Bush? Also do you know how financial aid is handled? You seem to think that it is all a wink and a handshake.

Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
Are you insinuating that children from disadvantaged backgrounds are inherently more athletic? So when time comes for any child of mine to go to high school, my wife and I will quit our jobs so that he can become a starting QB, get a scholarship, and then go play in the NFL...got it!

St. Xavier football 100 year birthday
:eyeonyou: I am sorry for making a tongue in cheek joke about his offensive philosophy. Goodness, I watched some of his more athletic teams spread the field more. 2004 and 2005 in particular that were absolutely stellar. I have said great things about Glaser on many occasions. I am on record as saying if they had let him have 1 more year he would have gone out on a title before handing it over to Wolford. The comment was based on the perception of his offensive philosophy, which I know many X guys to have lamented in the past (unjustly might I add). Go ahead, feel free to search all references I have made to Glaser on BGP if you want to do your research before making such a comment.

Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
No, only those that impose such restrictions.

Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
They put themselves at one, framing the question to get the answer you want does not fully encapsulate the issue. I wasn't expecting my paint thinner example to hit so close home or be so accurate.
-
Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
That they imposed on themselves. The KHSAA had nothing to do with it.

Should Private Schools Have Their Own Playoff?
So if a county decides to impose a rule on itself that others choose to not impose on themselves who is at fault? If Johnny knowingly drinks paint thinner and Jimmy knowingly drinks water then who is the fool? If I want to run a race against you but then stab my thigh with a knife does that mean that I have the right to impose that same poor decision upon you?

BluegrassPreps Class 6A Football Rankings (10/9) Discussion
Interestingly it seems that many of the top teams in 6A are struggling on defense this season. SC gives up tons of points, X has been surprising in that regard, PRP and SK are both known for their rather penetrable defenses against a competent teams. What gives? Has everyone just gone full in on offense? Male and Trinity seem to be the only schools with relatively consistent defenses. Although to be fair Male has only had a handful of really solid opponents so far.
