  1. Good example. It's much easier (and preferred by the anti-gun crowd) to measure the violence that firearms are responsible for than it is to measure the violence that firearms have stopped......unfortunately.

  4. Hearsay, I'm so sorry about what you guys are experiencing at this time. I did a bit of research and found a very interesting article related to your situation and how to explain it to children of various ages. I hope it helps, and I wish you the best in whatever the final outcome has to be. http://www.petplace.com/dogs/explaining-pet-loss-to-children-six-do-s-and-don-ts/page1.aspx
  5. I have a good one that is almost worth the suspension that would result from posting it................. I'll give you guys a hint. It involves a purposeful misspelling of "Potter".
  6. Perhaps Sony will come out with "Presidential Election 2008" soon..........
  7. I saw Kimmel on that MNF broadcast and thought he was hilarious. If you are going to invite a comedian to sit in the booth, then don't complain when he is funny. I liked Kimmel's last line from the SI article: "Whether I'm technically banned or whether Jay Rothman has the right to make that decision, let's put it this way: Jay Rothman is banned from my show."
  8. The Cats played with heart tonight. They just didn't have the D to stop Tebow. I think the stock of both Woodson and Tebow went up as a result of this game. I know a lot of UK fans probably don't like Tebow, but you have to admire his tenacity/heart/strength. UK must guard against a BIG let down next week against a team they should beat convincingly.
  9. Wireman, you are supposed to get the Frankfort fans riled up, not your own. If the Danville team that showed up against Russellville comes to play, then it should be a very good game. If it's the team that showed up last night, we could be in for trouble.
  10. If the man actually struck the Garrard player shouldn't he be charged with assault/battery?
  11. Selected stats: Opponents' combined records: Danville 27-45 Frankfort 30-37 Points scored/allowed: Danville 283/125 Frankfort 358/54 Each team has beaten only opponent who currently has a winning record. Frankfort is allowing less than 7 pts per game (in 8 games) Danville is allowing just under 14 pts per game (in 9 games) Each team has at least one D-1 player (that I know of) Should be a very good game...........................:thumb:
  12. You're a stand up kinda guy. Tis a good thing. There was a BGP member a few years back that posted some info about his uncle who had recently passed away. He said the following was included on his epitaph that still makes me laugh to this day: "He was often wrong but never in doubt". Not that you are often wrong, but your comment made me think about that hilarious statement.
  13. And Danville has to be more focused this week to beat Frankfort at our place.:walk: Congrats to Fields btw. We will be fortunate to watch him for another 4 years.
  14. You still have time for an edit if you hurry.
  15. Corso is our Man-crush. Kirk sign my belly-future Wildcat.
  16. I agree. In a rather low-scoring close game like this one, a single call can make a huge difference.
  17. The Cards can use this as a little motivation for the next meeting.
  18. One's that stand out in my travels throughout the state: Mayfield Highlands (including the turf souvenir in my garage:D) Russellville Hopkinsville and of course Admiral Stadium
  19. Boyle needed this one for obvious reasons. Glad they came through tonight.
  20. Coldplay would have enjoyed this game.
  21. Not surprisingly, you WOULD agree with me on that post!
