  1. Throw Harrington back in the ring and let the two without QB's decide who gets him and Huard. No sense in dragging it out. I'll fill out my roster via waiver wire...
  2. Skip me as well, my grandmother passed this morning and I will not have a chance, nor the inclination, to research and make a pick this weekend...at this point, there's no one worth having really. May want to consider a shorter draft next season, maybe knock off a round or two.
  3. Wow...a little late for that bit of info considering I picked up Harrington in round 13...
  4. 1. None 2. No 3. Not to us... BGP members see more games across the state than the handful of people voting in the AP polls and many seem to have more knowledge of the game and the teams than the voters do. Too many voters go based solely on reputation. Some schools will get votes from an AP member on the opposite end of the state just because they really had some great teams back in the 70's. A better question would be to ask the AP voters what influence BGP has on them...
  5. I thought it was a mistake to bring him up when they did to begin with...
  6. Ouch...he could have definitely helped the rest of the way this year and next as well...
  7. I haven't seen Cueto enough to get a feel as to his potential. As for the others, I just feel like I can finally see the club slowly improving in the one area they have been sorely lacking in the last decade plus...pitching. You get enough good young arms and see who develops...it takes time, but most fans are impatient and want to see change now. That's why leatherpants made trades all the time, giving up the young arms for the latest, greatest 5-tool player making sure the public knew he was making changes to try and improve the club. All he did was decimate the farm system for years and put the Reds in a hole they are just now beginning to see the way out of. Just hope they sort of hold course in that regard and don't revert to the old ways...:thumb:
  8. I know he's out this year, hadn't heard how long they expected him out... I figured he might be back the second half next year at the earliest...
  9. Of course...if you turn down the sound...you don't notice it quite as much...:sssh:
  10. That was one of the saddest, but mainly funniest things I have ever heard.... Smokin'...yes Articulate...not exactly...
  11. Either but I prefer smooooooooooth...Skippy natural is my fave...the oil doesn't separate in this one... As for bacon and peanut butter...I love bacon and the thought of them together intrigues me... I wonder...two great tastes that taste great together???
  12. I like Romo because he did pretty well last season and he has alot of weapons to work with. Pennington is similiar in that he is solid and has some tools to work with in Coles and Cotchery. As for Jones is my RB2. I got Washington so if Thomas doesn't pan out, I have the back up on this good running team. Although I will be honest...I had crossed out both backs on either side of Cedric Benson and it looked like he was crossed out as well. I took Jones and the next guy scooped CB up...DOH! Darn first timer next to me kept asking me questions while every one else was picking and I missed out on a top notch backfield...:irked: I didn't feel great, but I figure middle of the pack...
  13. As of today, the daytime high is forecasted to be in the low 80's...
  14. I agree in that it has been inconsistent at best this year, but I also believe they do have some potential in Belisle, Livingston, Bailey and EZ (maybe as a middle relief guy). At least more potential than I have felt they had in aloooooooooooonbg time.
  15. I think they have a solid nucleus in the starting rotation, along with an adequate closer...middle relief is a concern, but seems to be showing (dare I say it) signs of improving. What has the Reds performance since Pete Mack took over told us about Narron as a MLB manager? One thing is that it's amazing how guys produce better when they know where they will be hitting in the lineup every time they come to the ballpark...
  16. Sorry about that...I had just finished the live draft for a league with some guys from work. I was trying to decide which craptacular player to take next...
  17. OK...here's the team I drafted earlier today... 4th pick in an 11 team league (one guy was kind of wishy-washy all along and backed out at the end)... We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, DST... QB - Tony Romo, Chad Pennington RB - Joseph Addai, Deuce McCallister, Thomas Jones, Leon Washington WR - Steve Smith, Reggie Brown, Chris Chambers TE - Todd Heap, Dallas Clark K - Olindo Mare DST - Green Bay
