LCPATS

Very poorly played game, for both teams. LC missed way to many easy shots, and BC couldn't get ball up the court. It was an easy win for LC, even though they played poorly. Spurlin missed a lot of easy shots, it was nice to see Long step up. All that being said, it was still a nice win. LC is undefeated at home this season.

LC is playing very well, and are very tough to beat at home. They are 26-5 at home over the past three seasons, and undefeated at home this year.

I said back in the summer that Danville would be my pick to win the 12th, if Macon were still there. Danville has some nice wins this season. They have defeated Lincoln, Adair and McCreary Central. Lincoln blew them out in their second meeting. Danville is not the team of the past few seasons where you show up, collect a W and head to the house. They are a threat to win against every team in the 12th region.

LC should win this one, but you never know in the 45th district. I think there is a lot of parody in the 12th region this year. LC has played well against the teams in the region. BC and LC are always battles, however I think LC is playing better ball right now and will pull out the W.

Lincoln jumped out 8-0, and never looked back. They led by as many as 28pts in the 3rd quarter. The interesting thing about this game was that Pats won big, without a huge game from Spurlin. He only had six points tonight. The Pats were led in scoring by Edgington, with 20 pts. LC seems to be hitting a groove. They have had great success against 12th region teams so far this season.

Not even close to one of the biggest crowds. This team has been very well watched over the past few seasons. Many packed gyms. I mean standing room only. Attendance has been down a little this season, and this was easily the biggest crowed of the 08-09 season. LC's biggest draw is usually Boyle County. I was glad to see Garrard fans out supporting their team. LC usually has more people on the Garrard side than they bring from Lancaster.

This is a ways off... Too many between now and the 20th to focus on it.

I am looking forward to this game. Garrard is off to an outstanding start, but really don't have a win to hang their hat on. I think they will be ready for Lincoln, knowing they have a good shot to be the Pats. Lincoln has been up and down, but they seemed to play their best ball at home, especially against 12th region teams. It seems as most believe Garrard is suddenly the team to beat in the 45th, my opinion obviously differs. This is a big game for both teams, defending home court is going to be crucial this year. The most difficult thing about Garrard is preparing for their offense. It will put you to sleep at times, DeForest does a good job teaching discipline and passing. I don't think Garrard has an answer for Spurlin. On the other hand, I don't know if LC is patient enough to defend Garrard. We will find out tonight.

This is a big game for LC. This is win the real season starts, IMO. They need to come out and defend home court. This is going to be a competitive race, and LC needs to win all the home games to stay in it. LC has proven they can beat anyone or lose to anyone. They alsways seem to play well at home...

I knew Garrard was going to better this season. The 45th is going to be interesting. However, I think it is too early to say anyone has the upperhand. Danville beat LC, but it was in a holiday tournament. The two play again tonight, this time it counts. The first meeting did not count as a district game between Danville and LC. The 12th region, in general is going to be wild. Garrard beat Danville, and lost to West Jess. The same West Jess. that LC blew out of the gym a couple weeks ago. ???

I would still consider the 12th to be down, this is one win. This just makes it more confusing, Mercer lost to East Jessimane...

Competitive within the region, I agree. Competitive with the rest of the state, I don't think so. That's my opinion, and it's early. Hopefully I am wrong.

The win is impressive for Danville. LC had the best wins within the region coming into this game. Wins over Wayne, East J. and West J. This means it's going to be a wild year in the 12th. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I think the region is REALLY down.

Don't know why. He is a great football player too. He may of just moved...

I knew Danville would be better this year, they have a great backcourt. But this surprised me. They played with more energy from the get go. This is going to be an iteresting district/region this year. Spurlin had 24 pts and fouled out in the fourth quarter. LC should could use Burgess (LC transfer). He is what they need, an athletic kid to rebound and score inside.

LC is having trouble rebound the ball. That killed them in this one, HC pretty much shot until they hit it.

LC is a good defensive team.

LC's full court defense gave Wayne Co. a lot of trouble.

Lincoln has some solid wins in the region, and returns a lot of their roster. They lost three important players. But they still have one of the best players in the region, and three other kids who played a lot last year. Not to mention a great coach who knows how to get it done. The UF ananalogy isn't very good. Uf lost it's entire starting lineup.... I think the region is wide open and McCreary will be a factor.

Mercer seems like a very dangerous team. I would say that is the toughest distrtict in the region this year.

LC has defeated Wayne (easily), East Jess, and West Jess. by 17 pts. I would have to say have three of the more impressive wins so far. They do have a loss to Russell (who is undefeated). LC was regarded as the number one team in the region, in some publications-not that it matters. I agree the region is wide open this year. McCreary was my preseason pick to win it, because of Watts. So far, the best team I have seen in the region, aside fom LC is East Jess. I still think McCreary will be the team to beat at the end of the year, Watts is just that good. I think LC, McCreary, East, West, Wayne and Mercer (in no perticular order) are the best teams in the region. This will be an interesting year in the 12th region. This score really surprises me. LC easily handled Wayne County. I thought McCreary Counties guard play would be too much for them. I do find it humorous that people won't say LC is atop of the 12th, at this time. They have two of the best wins, within the region, and are the two-time defending champ. In my book, you are the champ until someone takes it from you.

After seeing Wayne the other night in Stanford, McCreary shouldn't have too much trouble with them. Wayne seems to have a hard time taking care of the basketball.

Jones won the 12th region coach of the year award, two straight years at that. I know for sure, because both times I have wondered how a guy who didn't get his team to the regional tournament could win coach of the year. Of course, I thought Coach Jackson should've won at least one of those, if not both.

I think they had a Jackson kid playing.
