  1. Heard the bid for turf has been accepted and the company will start next week.
  2. I agree Hatz! Boyle will be more balanced this season. I feel really good that our offense will score more points than our defense will give up.
  3. If the offense can't score against Lex Cath, there will be no Bell.
  4. I think Devin Cox will do just fine at runningback. He proved last year against Lone Oak that he has big play potential with running the kickoff back for a TD. He just didn't get a chance because McShara got all the touches last season. I'll go on record right now and say that Boyle's offense will do just as good as last year against the games that really counted. (Lex Cath 2X, Bell, and Lone Oak in regulation) 24.25 Avg.
  5. Going back even farther, I can remember back in 1979 after a loss that put us (9-1 and CKC Conference Champions) out of the playoffs. Coach Rall had somehow gotten a huge roller that the team had to pull or push all over the field to make it through the rest of the season. Hatz, I'm sorry if thearpy is needed for me bringing this memory back up.
  6. The field is on top of an old farm pond. Boyle has had 1 problem after another with the field over the years and has spent much money on it, which has giving them fits. Most years at the start of each season the field has looked good. The problem is that it can't make it through a season. For Boyle County this is unacceptable and turf has been a project for many years. Even last season, Boyle had to move a playoff game to Centre College because of it coming apart. Last year there where people not happy about the thought of playing at Centre College or on our sorry field. A couple of years ago Boyle had to move the Danville game to their place along with the Mercer County, and Lafayette games. A lot of BCHS sports, depend on that gate money that became lost revenue. This is the best solution for us. Funds have been found and money donated. I will tell you that who ever and what type of turf field Boyle goes with, that no corners will be cut and it will be one of the best playing surfaces in the state of Kentucky. I am looking forward to Sept. 17th.
  7. I agree. This is why the other players will try to take him to the finals. No one on the jury will vote for Russell. A million dollars, is a million dollars. "If you're not first, you're last" Ricky Bobby
  8. I just wonder how it's all going to end. I still think that the real John Locke will be alive before it's over.
  9. Can't waite to see Lamar in action this coming year. Lamar Dawson traveled from Danville, Ky., to take part in the Columbus NFTC. It was worth the trip for him -- and a few other prospects. As good as Daniels was, Lamar Dawson (Danville, Ky./Boyle County) might have been even better. Dawson measured in at 6-2 and 232 pounds but looked even bigger. He certainly played big. Dawson took on blockers well, was able to track down running backs on the perimeter and made plays in coverage en route to the linebackers MVP award.
  10. AA your not the only one. I've had the shop vac, mops, towells, and plenty of hard work to keep the damage small. Right now I just got to take a break before the next band of rain hits after while (why not). I'm thinking of building an ark and have the kids start gathering the animals.

Got my reservations for June 25th. Staying at the New York New York Casino. Really looking forward to taking the dam tour this year.
  12. per website http://fe1.rivals.sports.ac4.yahoo.com/cincinnati/football/recruiting/player-Lamar-Dawson-104779?colleges=show#college_choices More schools making offers to Lamar. Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, and Western Kentucky have joined Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnatti, Texas Tech, and Stanford with Notre Dame having him on their radar http://illinois.rivals.com/
  13. I take it that Papa John's pizza will not be sold during a basketball game. :idunno:
  14. Call me crazy but IMO Miller will start next season reguardless of who Coach Cal signs.
  15. I also agree that Boyle, Bell, Lexington Catholic, and Lone Oak are the top 4 teams, and Marion County making a push to join them. I was really impressed with Lone Oak's play last year and if they can continue to pass the ball like they have with a new QB. Watch out!
  16. Another thing about Russell. He gets everyone believing him and then they are blindsided. He is the perfect player to keep around because the people voted off (the jury) hate him. It good to keep a person you believe no one on the jury will vote for, to take with you to the finals, and IMO Russell is that person.
  17. I see it different. The heros think that it's girl power on the villians side and will try to lure Russell over to their side if a merge happens now. The count is 6 villians to 5 heros and the heros need someone to flop and Russell is who they will go after. It even mentioned one of the stupidest moves ever in survivor history that JT was thinking of giving Russell the imunity idol to help him come to thier side against the villian girls. If he doesn't get caught he could have an alliance with everyone.
  18. I didn't think that Russell voted for Coach. After the show it showed who voted for who and I believe it was like this. He is without a doubt the best game player ever to play the game. Sandra - Coach Courtney - Coach Russell - Courtney Coach - Courtney Jerri - Courtney Parvati - Coach Danielle - Coach
  19. I joined BGP in 2002 and I can remember seeing pictures of Highlands installing their turf in a thread.
  20. I do know that Lex Cath had to move their 1998 playoff games to Georgetown. It's my understand that was because the field was un-playable. I believe that is when they decided to install field turf. It could have been 98, but my best guess would be 99. 2000 I know for a fact Boyle played on turf at Catholic.
  21. I guess I'm ambidextrous. I write left handed, shoot a gun and play pool left handed, but I throw a ball right handed, bowl right handed.
  22. I want to make a motion that Mark Hamilton gets strip of all privileges and banned from the Big Blue Fan Club from here on out! He does not speak for everyone across this state. :taz:
  23. 5 nights is what I reserved for our trip. I'd like to take the Dam tour while I'm out there.
  24. I tried really hard to get a ticket. I'm curoius as to how difficult it was for you?
