  1. Where is the game being played? At what time? Thanks
  2. Cory Rogers did play for Simons Middle School last year in Fleming County. He also played for the high school. His family moved over the summer to Wincherster. This is only the second year Cory has played basketball. He is doing a great job for only his second year playing. He will continue to improve and get better every game. Good luck to GRC the rest of the way!
  3. Morris did not even dress for the game. I was really glad to see GRC win, but with Morris in the game, Central wins by 15. With that said, I think GRC will be a very tough team the rest of the year.
  4. What a finish! GRC let a big lead slip away, but came back to win a thriller. Great shot by Miller to end the game. MC students were out of control after the game. Great win for the Cards!
  5. GRC has nobody in the middle. Aaron Morris could go for 30+ in this game.
  6. Rogers is no where near good enough to start varsity at GRC. He has a lot of improving to do before he starts varsity. I think he will end up being a nice addition to the team, but he will have to improve quite abit before starting.
  7. In the 10th, what about the 1998 Fleming County team that made the final four. I think they should be in the top 10 somewhere. The lost to a very good Paintsville team that year.
  8. Berea would be alot better off to do away with the program all together. Really, I wish Berea would consolidate with the Madison County School system. It would be much better for Madison Southern. Berea has gotten to the point that they really can't compete with anyone in sports. I think their baskektball team won 2 games this season. The baseball team and football team are also very weak.
  9. The final game was the only crowd, as I knew it would be. The semi-final crowds were very disappointing, not what I am used to with 10th region basketball. Excellent atmosphere today.
  10. Jeck played great in the first half. Southern looked really tired by the end of the third quarter. They played their hearts out, but couldn't quite ever make it over the hump in the second half.
  11. Final. Great atmosphere for high school basketball. The gym was packed.
  12. Pasquales is the best (reasonably priced) place to eat in Maysville. They have a stromboli steak sandwich that is wonderful!!
  13. Is Henry Clay really in the top 20? They haven't seemed that good to me this year.
  14. So true!! Even if you have apples against apples Scott County will get EVERY questionable call. SC has to be one of the toughest places to win I've ever seen.
  15. I am very excited about this game. I hope the 3:00 start time doesn't effect the intensity or attendance of the game. I am pulling for the Cardinals. I am also looking very forward to watching Darius Miller. Should be an outstanding basketball game. Could very well be the prelude the the 10th region finals.
  16. I was telling my boys all day that the better teams in Kentucky can play with anyone in the country and I was proven right tonight. I am not a Scott Co. fan, but I sure was tonight. We may not have had many all-americans come out lately, but we are still the best in the country!
  17. Being in the education field, I am fully aware of the advantages and disadvantages of holding a student back. If you are holding a child back because of inmaturity or academic reasons in the primary grades then I completely agree with holding a student back. Also, many times parents hold boys back if they have a late or summer birthday, which I totally agree with. I know there are many parents who hold their son back because they have great hope that he will be an outstanding athlete. I'm sorry, but I do not agree with this. Nobody is dismissing the fact that an 18 or 19 year old "should" be better prepared for college, but I don't think that is the point of this thread. I am standing by my point that a 16 year old "freshman" should be a more advanced player than a "true" 14 year old freshman.
