I have thought about it and I am correct, Fleming beat Boyle in the first round, then beat Louisville Eastern in the second round and lost to Paintsville on Saturday morning, the same session Rick Jones hit the shot for Scott to beat Lex. Cath.

Actually, in 1998, they were beaten by Paintsville in the semi-finals on Saturday morning, not the quarter finals. We should only hope Fleming could get back to where Lake Kelly had them.

I just got back from the game and the early start by Rowan put it away. Fleming never could get over the hump. Also Bailey Ellison, FC point guard had way too many turnovers. He needs to pass the ball. It was a great atmosphere and the Daniels kid from Rowan is a great shooter. Best of luck to Rowan County the rest of the way. That was a happy bunch finding out that West Carter had beaten Morgan County.

I hope that Messer apologizes to those kids, assuming he hasn't already. I know those kids played hard all year and deserve a slap on the back. I hope they can get back on track next season.

If your talking about me, then no I don't. I liked the hire from day one. I told everyone that he would be very emotional, I said that because of him coaching at Clay County under one of the most emotional coaches this state has ever seen. Sometimes, emotion gets the best of all of us, and they may have been what happened. I hope he does come back, but we all have to wait and see. So don't be so judgemental of someone when you don't know what your speaking about.

From a very high source within Fleming County Schools, Messer may not be back at all. I think that is a real possibility

I really didn't get the whole story. I talked to people there last night and they said the FC coach got a technical for two quick fouls called on FC's guard. I think things went on a downward spiral from there. Something was said about the police being involved. I was asking the question to see if any Boyd Co. fans could give us any information about the crowd. From what I heard it was very embarassing to be a FC fan last night.

Something about the coaches family.

For one of the most anticipated games of the season, this was a boring game. Aaron Morris got in foul trouble early in the game. Central could not hit the broad side of a barn tonight. The game against Southern could be potentially dangerous.

I heard the crowd for this game was pretty interesting. (to say the least)

I would like to say PC by 10-15. Since the game is at Mason, who knows? I say PC by 6.

I believe the returning champ (South Laurel) has already been beaten by Madison Central.

It is Berea and Models choice, because Feldhaus and Buttry both want to seed. It is a shame that Model or Berea will be in the regional tournament. That is an embarrassment for the 44th district.

The winner of the 11th region should be the top contender for the state title.

Mason County always shows good sportsmanship, don't they?

Rockcastle shot 35 free throws to Southern's 12. Southern did not play well at all. The ref's did not cost MS the game by any means, but they were two of the worst I've ever seen. They called a technical on MS coach for him yelling at his own player. He didn't say anything to the ref. They were terrible.

From the way some of them are playing I am wondering how many really want to play.

Fleming County doesn't have anyone who can score. Yes they are struggling, but things would be a whole lot different with a couple of extra players on their team.

The way Central held Allen for 5 shots was plain old DEFENSE. Freshman Simpson played excellent defense on him all night. The whole team is buying into Feldhaus' defensive plan. Once again, GREAT win for Central. Go Indians!

Madison Central led throughout the game. They came out and set the tone early with a 9-0 lead. Central held Allen to 5 shots all night. 43 was a player for South tonight. Freshman Simpson led the way for the Indians for the second game in a row. Great high school basketball atmosphere. Great game, and GREAT win for Coach Feldhaus and the Madison Central Indians.

Take Montgomery off for sure. They got beat several times in the Berea tourney. After seeing GRC play, they need to be on the survey. I don't know anything about Scott. At the fieldhouse I've gotta go with Mason. It should be a pretty open region this year.
