I think he’s done a good job, but the demons haven’t beaten anyone that they shouldn’t have this year.

I think I’ll head to SK vs OC. Hopefully OC puts up more of a challenge than they did against Collins.

I agree mostly, but he’s new. Will have a lot to prove next year for sure. I would argue that Steiner and Utter have large schools to get players from and have never really made a real threat to winning the region.

Yeah, I should have said it better. I don’t think he’s coach of the year. Just that he’s done pretty well for being new at OC and losing a ton of talent from last year.

Should be a dandy. Being at OC definitely helps the colonels some. Should be a decent crowd, but not great since school was out today and it’s kinda nasty out.

I didn’t think about the 31st being at Trimble Co. They beat Anderson county there, so like you said, they could beat Gallatin for sure. South/OC was great last time. Max Green and Amburgey played awesome. I just don’t see Burnside going crazy again like he did last time though. Thanks, I’ve been lurking for a while and it’s nice to discuss 8th region with fans.

I really only see one of Collins, Woodford, or North Oldham really having a serious shot. Oldham, Owen, and Grant are all good, but not deep enough. No offense, but we always hear about Spencer and SK making a run, but it seems like they always fade out early in New Castle. Luck of the draw is also a big factor. In 2016, Owen was on fire coming into the 8th tournament, draw a hot district runner up South Oldham, it’s over for Owen just like that.

What’s happened to Greenwood? Does SW get most of the talent from that part of the county now?
