C Correct. We were more referring to the class of ‘91. The Massillon and Bell County rain game were in the fall of ‘90 for the class of ‘91.

No the Colonels do not know that at all. Better teams win, period. Yes, it is that simple, cut, and dry. Good teams don’t lose and don’t make excuses for losing. When you lose, you lose because you were not the better team. Excusing every loss away in sports is getting old and tiresome…..teaches a crappy lesson to the youth. And the lesson should be that you do not always win, so accept it gracefully, but respond and respond big because that’s what life calls for.

This post is on point. Kid can bring it no doubt. Willie, Kruer, Bessler, and Flood are brutal. What a Linebacker Room there.

The only thing I’ll say is I do not buy at all all this talk that that Highlands had the better talent. Taking nothing away from Highlands as I am sure they are talented and good kids, but what I saw was an Uber talented and disciplined CCH Team adapt, make adjustments and out play another team pretty handily. I do believe Highlands has the talent to compete in 5A, but CCH just has more talent.

Word is CCH Frosh scored a time expired to win it. Go Colonels.

The Colonel lines for the second week in a row were both brutally dominant. Our trenches rule! Congrats to Ben Reeves and company for setting the tone and getting after it.

Totally get it and the thought of multiple NKY State Champs is beyond cool, just missing this playoff matchup…..sometimes I lament change. Used to getting this game twice a year most years and that is now over…. Go multiple NKY State Champs!

I cannot say you are wrong at all here, but c’mon, it is pretty cool on a chilly October/November Friday night when these 2 hook up for a playoff battle. The setting, the atmosphere, the air, all of it just screams perfect High School Football. I will not disagree with you, but I will miss what could be….

This was a prime example of the classic “second half team”….clearly the showing out tonight the Colonels showed no quit. The Birds certainly gave us everything we could handle as they stepped up and brought it, but the second half was a way different Colonel Team that put this game away. A total shame these 2 teams will not meet in the playoffs, but a spectacular Colonel win on a steamy August Friday night. Go Colonels!!!
