I am still not sure why anyone would use Ticketmaster. It will save you $10 a day if you just get tickets from the ticket box. It is only $21 a session there, rather than the $26 on Ticketmaster.

I believe these massive crowds that we are seeing are a great representation of where Kentucky High School Basketball currently is standing right now. Loaded with Division 1 basketball recruits, some of them even getting offers from NCAA "blue bloods", and few even ranked highly on the national level! We have a UK commit, a top-15 nationally ranked sophomore, the #1 scorer in KHSAA history, and much more talent. These games have not disappointed either, the first day was phenomenal, the 2nd day had a few more blowouts. If I were to guess, KHSAA won't be seeing these attendance numbers next year, or multiple years after. Especially if ticket prices continue to rise, it is getting out of hand to attend every session...

This is my exact point. Players/teams are going to draw the simple conclusion of "if he wasn't playing, it wouldn't have happened". I don't understand it. I think every player should play in it, you are playing for your country. You never see soccer players sit out of the World Cup do you? What I do not understand is that these same injuries could easily happen in off-season workouts. Do they want their players to quick working out during the off-season? Not to mention this tournament is a great ramp up for these stars right before the season.

I expect more tonight than were there last night.

If I had to guess this will impact the WBC tremendously in the coming years. Just when we got the rosters back to where we wanted them, a season-ending injury happens due to a freak accident after the game. Now, more and more players will sit out in fear of losing their MLB seasons to an injury.

What are the odds Vinson hits up the transfer portal after last night? The only thing that would keep him there is the location IMO.

I was up in the stands, so obviously height does not stand out a ton from that angle. Woodford County has a 6'9 center in John McCrear committed to Murray State. They also have Jasper Johnson (top-20 in the nation for the soph. class) along with 2 D1 football players. One committed to WVU, and another with offers from WVU, UofL, and UK. Santonio Wade is also in the starting lineup, a small shifty guard that is one of the best on-ball defenders I have seen. Also a great guard, shifty enough to get past almost anyone.

The 3rd quarter for GRC was huge! North Laurel tried to push back late in the game, just ran out of time. Great showing by UK commit Reed Sheppard. If he would've had some help in the first half this game might have went slightly different. GRC moves on to face Lyon County in the quarterfinals tomorrow night at 8:30.
