  1. Believe he went to d1-school down in Louisiana. That Holmes team was stacked and remembered him putting on a hell of a show that championship game against Mason County
  2. IMO no way you don’t have Aveion Chennault from Fredrick Douglas as all region team. Anyone who has saw them play knows this kid controls the paint blocking and changing a lot of shots.
  3. Class of 2008 should definitely be up there. 1. Darrius Miller. 2. Scotty Hopson. 3. Shelvin Mac. 4 Vic Mosley. 5. Arrez Henderson. And best out that group who didn’t see his senior year Bud Mackey.
  4. Was in the building for the Meyers vs Perry matchup at Lex Cath and was one heck of a show. Would love for this to happen at Rupp.
  5. Completely forgot he’s a 5th year guy. Also from my understanding Hamilton is the lead guy for his team without him it’s a different story. GRC plays great team ball these last 2years. Seeing Jerome play 2 games that stand out Madison Central and Douglas game he wasn’t even close to being the best player on the floor.
  6. How does everyone feel about Morton not getting 10th Region Player of the year? Have no dawg in this fight just curious of peoples opinions.
  7. Agreed especially in the 7th and 6th would’ve been a different story.
  8. GRC way weaker when talking in state and they close against nobody. They’ll win the region easily but don’t see them repeating at all this team is ranked off last year cause this years team not impressive at all each time saw them play.
  9. To alot the score will surprise folks but man if you was there for this it should’ve been a 20 point win easily. Will say this tho. Everyone talks about Douglas win streak not being the best competition while can be true to an extent, no one talks about how weak competition GRC had played basically entire season. Other then Madison Central and Great Crossing who else is worth mentioning GRC has played.
  10. Douglas is a threat to win the region for sure. Just don’t have a big man but the athletes they have can make up for size.
  11. Chenault changed so many shots at the rim for GRC. Douglas had the 2 best players in both sophomores and it wasn’t even close. Morton wasn’t impressive at all was expecting a big time game from the what most think is a big time player in the state but I didn’t see it at all.
  12. I was in attendance and a witness of a fun high flying game. Them young Douglas guys had the Farm rocking tonight from the beginning! Chennault in the first quarter drop steps in traffic and skys over GRC big man for a two hand throw down. Then comes back and swatted Morton few possessions later. Later in the 1st Melo Boone comes down on a fast break and takes of fully cocked back with Morton trying block his shot and puts him through the rim!!!!!!!!! Almost had a second dunk exactly like this one on the big man but it popped out half way through from him dunking so hard. A great back in forth early but Douglas handled GRC majority of second half score should have been worse but Douglas got careless and comfortable started throwing up wild shots. One the more fun games I’ve been too.
  13. Didn’t forget about Collins. I just don’t think they can stop Roberts.
  14. Idt North Oldham Coach gets enough credit over the years I’ve watched him lead N.O. over teams with more size or talent and dominate the games at that. I don’t see Woodford being disciplined and team oriented enough to beat them for Region this year again.
  15. If you’re going off of crowd for these Christmas tournaments imo it be best to start these games later in the day around 3/4 being the earliest games so the community can attend when they get off work. We played in Corbins tourney and the earliest game was at 5 but the gym was wall to wall pack for all 3 games played each day.
  16. Saw them play last year in state tourney. They play great as a team. can tell they’re actually coached and made to play defense. Watching them play defense was the most impressive thing imo.
  17. Curious to know what Morton did for GRC this tourney against some actual competition. Me personally when I saw him state tournament wasnt impressed as much as the hype was around him and few games I’ve caught this year felt the same. IMO GRC plays great team ball, but he’s not the most dominant player you’re going witness compared to other guys in the state.
  18. Honestly I can see how. Guys don’t know plays or just not listening. As well as the best player not having the ball in his hands a lot this game. Louisville had Nolan Smith there to see him play.
  19. Tough break for Woodford as Nelson hit the potential tie 3 with 2.8 seconds. But the coach called a timeout because guys didn’t know the play. Out the timeout doesn’t get it to Jasper and shoots an air ball smh. Dunbar with the comeback for the W.
  20. I was at this game. Want say Woodford struggled with execution because guys getting back from football but they’ve been in the system already. Also credit to Dunbar those guys came to play from the tip and Woodford was going through the motions.
  21. Or you can be great in your role of protecting the rim, rebounding and being a lob threat.
  22. This is normally true. With a new coach and your best player from previous 2 years gone it was a team we had see first to know what they had.
  23. I said same thing when saw him play year. He’s got a big advantage in already having the height early in age.
  24. Nah I don’t think they had any out there. They played a lot of the JV team.
