Be There or Be Square: "Must-See" Games of 2023
Bowling Green vs Bryan Stayion will be a must see for a reason a lot don’t know about. The talented JR class at Bowling Green lost their 8th Grade Championship against Elkhorn Middle School in Frankfort thanks to a dominating game and game winning TD run by Kalen “Jaws” Washington. Know both will look to get a big win with this rematch.

2023 Bryan Station Defenders
Kalen Jaws Washington who was the starting RB from GRC last two yours is now at Station. Huge pick up for them.

I like his sons game a lot. Kid plays with a lot of energy that you can’t teach. IMO hopefully Coach brown will actually use his assistants this year and actually coach basketball instead just letting them go out there and play pick up. They made a run in state mostly because of a weaker region and having football players being physical with against basketball players in the state tournament. Watching a lot of their games against competition this year including the Warren Central game this team was not the hype even with Jasper.

You tell no lie lol.

Def agree with that cause this was right before the Shelby county tourney.

Open Job: Franklin County
20-38 with most players from bad teams previously with a lot of bad habits he was starting to change. The younger guys on the freshman and JV levels was buying into what he was teaching. As well as Coach Moore was also building the basketball program back up to a standard and culture of when Coach Chalk was there of not playing lower level competition and back to the bigger name teams in the state and region. As well as To get guys to work on their craft more, take pride in wearing the name on the jersey. Something that had gotten away from FC basketball over the years. This was more than just some job to Coach Moore and I’m hoping they getting someone who has as much pride in FC and really cares about the program to replace him.

The Field house and football field is sad. Along with the practice equipment. I will never underestimate how you have all these great alumni and no is willing to donate to help the football team that was way long overdue. Make matters worse the basketball gym got one the BEST makeovers in the entire state meanwhile the football team got absolutely nothing.

Kentucky pulls scholarship from Franklin County's Kaden Moorman
No Kaden got hurt and missed time and didn’t have same impact because he was hurt when he did play. What UK did was foul, wasn’t interested in the kid until Wisconsin offered him fully and then UK jumped in making promises and got him shut his recruitment down his junior year. Should never get kids to commit to your school as juniors if theres a possibility you’re going pull there scholarship a year later you’re playing with kids futures. Kaden even went all out and try help recruit guys. I'm a UK fan and hope he gets an opportunity to show out against UK. They did him wrong point blank period.

Warren Central 64 George Rogers Clark 60 (KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16® Championship)
The Madison Central game it felt like they didn’t know who the team was because they was on the other side of the state. Came out flat and not taking them seriously and Madison central came out more then fired up for the game.

Warren Central 56 Woodford County 48 (KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16®)
They tried everything to get them to the finals lol

Warren Central 56 Woodford County 48 (KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16®)
Role players save Woodford from being blown out. Jasper Johnson with a lot sloppy basketball. Warren Central trusted each other and no one try be the hero.
-
Under the radar kids at the Sweet 16
Meechie White at Male. Makes plays all around on offense and defense. True leader.
-
George Rogers Clark vs. North Laurel Predictions/Updates (KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16®)
I have north in a tight one. It’ll depend on which role players will step up more. I think Reed redeems himself from last year showing against Pikeville.

2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
Woodford may have played better since district tournament but none those teams compare to Jtown.

2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
Sure he will plenty of times

2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
Not disagree with you but Morton should want this matchup considering he’s there best player.
-
2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
Morton got be the one defending him imo. From a competitive standpoint you have to because you have something to prove. Two best players basically same position you got matchup. Motto was last year tourney MVP and Reed is consider by most best player in the state and going to UK.

2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
What player vs player matchup is everyone looking forward to? I’m looking forward to seeing Morton vs Sheppard in the GRC vs North Laurel game. Morton won last year tourney MVP but hasn’t really gotten much love this year maybe because he’s a 5th year senior but this is a matchup where he can definitely build his name and resume. And we all know the hype behind Reed lol.

Male 67 Trinity 65 2OT (7th Region Championship)
Seeing Johnson play a few times last 2 years and I haven’t been impressed. Know he’s 6’5 at a young age but from a skill perspective not really seeing it. Also he plays so cool and laid back. Cole has a dogg in him anyone would want play with on in team regardless of size.

2023 Boys' Sweet 16® Bracket
I like this field a lot going be some dog fights. Going be a lot talent on display.
-
Woodford County 44 Collins 21 (8th Region Championship)
Woodford has easily been most head scratching team to watch this year.
-
Woodford County 44 Collins 21 (8th Region Championship)
That first round matchup against J-Town will be a dog fight.
-
Male 67 Trinity 65 2OT (7th Region Championship)
Jayden Johnson got all the hype as best freshman this year coming in but got outplayed big time by the smaller Cole Edlen. Hit big shots and forced turnovers on Johnson.
-
Male 67 Trinity 65 2OT (7th Region Championship)
Meechie White big time plays at the end. Key drive and kick for the go head bucket out a scramble play. Then locks up Vesser to force a wild layup for game!

Frederick Douglass 43 Lexington Catholic 41 (11th Region Championship)
Catholic not feeding Potter will eat them for rest their life’s. Credit Douglass controlled the paint well enough to stay around and win. Avion Chennault maybe 6ft and had 7 blocks and countless shot changes. Douglass also out rebounded LC 30-28 despite being undersized. Douglass also won the Turnover battle 10-8. FD had a blown wide open layup by Melo Boone who few possessions before dunk on Potter. LC led by as many as 8 and was up all game until 6 min left. That one call didn’t determine the outcome.
