I'm not one to call for jobs, especially of underpaid and underappreciated high school coaches, but losing to a district runner up in the first round without their best two players should never happen at Simon Kenton. If Spencer County didn't start turning the ball over they would've won by 20/30, too.

I get it’s “Henry County” and it’s “South Oldham” but this wasn’t an upset in the slightest.

A tight game the whole way, Henry wins 66-63. South missed a couple good looks at the end to win/tie.

Already without leading scorer Brady Smith, second leading scorer and backcourt mate Samuel Seawright went out for the game 3 minutes in. Nevertheless, the fighting Jason Burns’ lead the whole way in Shelbyville to clinch a spot on the 30th district title game, and the 8th region tournament. Big night from Chris and Ben Armstrong, as well as sophomore backup guard Charlie Allen.

Is this some weird way of acting like Woodford County is some afterthought underdog???? Comical.

The *Bears* were a broken final possession away from beating Woodford County. Hoping to see a rematch in the 30th championship game where Seawright will probably play. Then who knows what happens when you get to The Roy......

1. ADs/Superintendents that are too controlling and/or have the wrong people in their ears. 2. Out of touch expectations of winning where Nick Saban couldn't coach the team that's on the field and meet those expectations.

Bears led practically the entire game in Taylorsville. Dragons made some runs but could never get over the hump.

Give the Oldhams a break? The 3 team district needs a break? Give ME a break. The point is they skipped over at least two other schools in the same county to make Cornerstone go to a different district. Are we saying we make districts based on level of competition? Not geography?

Might be for another thread but did anybody see the realignment that the KHSAA BOC approved??? Moving Cornerstone to the 29th makes absolutely zero sense, especially after the 8th region AD's approved a realignment months ago.

Boyle has lost to 9 teams in 4A or lower in the same time period, plus 2 teams below them in 6A in N Hardin and Lafayette. One of those teams was Lex Cath who they lost to several times. Don't be disingenuous in comparing the two just because you're a CAL guy.

At what point is there a discussion about moving them up? They win 7? 8? in a row? Going back to 2012(!!!!!!!) they've lost to 3 teams currently in 3A (Desales/Mercer/Central). All three of those teams spent some time in 4A recently too.

Made a bunch of demands over the head of the principal (to probably get the coach to quit) and when those demands were met, made the principal do his dirty work for him. What a cluster.

Letting go of your early 30's year old, alumni, former SEC football player, state championship appearing, 8 year tenured head coach who seemingly had no plans of coaching anywhere else, at tiny 1A Russellville is absolutely horrendous and unless there is MASSIVE misconduct being swept under the rug, Russellville should be ashamed of themselves. The man schedules some of the best teams in the area and seemingly gets fired for not winning enough??

Stipend is a joke, yes. But that teacher salary more than makes up for it, especially once you have some years in. Now is it worth it to have to work in some of these schools? Probably not. The reason some of these schools can't find/keep good coaches is because its virtually impossible to compete on a consistent basis.

With all the schools that play basketball and baseball it might be in the 95% range of all schools.
