  1. I don’t believe he will. Yes, Clay missed some wide open throws today but overall he’s the more poised passer and his accuracy should improve over the next couple years. I could see Cash getting moved to receiver. He’s extremely important to the basketball program so it would make sense. Maybe reassess his senior year after Hayden’s gone.
  2. Tigers were the better team today and deserved the W! Going to be fun watching Hayden and Chase the next couple years!
  3. I would love to see this game become competitive again but for now I’ve gotta take CCH by at least 2 scores. I’m a Bluebird and a Tiger (Highlands middle then Beechwood for HS) so desperately want to see HHS become relevant again. Just not sure they’ve got what it takes to keep up with CCH’s ground game. Hoping I’m wrong and this is the year the Birds get this rivalry back on track!
  4. Team makes the semis and you tell them to go back to 1A…I’m as big a Beechwood fan as any and will tell you that’s delusional. Mayfield is a premier program at 2A and would compete for titles some years in 3A. Great team and program. Bad take!
  5. Checks watch…paces frantically! Someone, anyone! Link us! 😂😂
  6. CCH just looks flat. Every week. Team needs to find an emotional leader in the worst way.
  7. Best Tiger team in a while. Can’t wait to watch them pummel CCH.
  8. What a classless move from EJ. That being said I wish him luck at Franklin County...I understand why he made the decision, I don’t understand and never will why he accepted the HHS job, did a presser and then decided it wasn’t for him. Mind boggling to me. #BertBsTheAnswer in my eyes. Let the young man try and bring a program he’s more passionate about than anything in the world back to prominence. I can’t imagine anyone else giving the time and emotion he will to the Birds.
  9. Really poor from both sides honestly. Not sure how many times LCA could stuff the Hergott draw up the middle before we tried something else!
  10. Huge missed call on Beechwood’s final drive in regulation. Blatant pass interference when they were driving and looking like they were going to score went uncalled. Can always do the what if thing but today Beechwood was the better team. What an amazing football game!
  11. Brandon Slusher is the trainer. Brady is his younger brother. Definitely a family filled with athletes so understandable to have them confused. Youngest Brett played at UK.
  12. Beechwood getting out coached right now. Comets staff is on fire. Great calls all around tonight from them, down to the onside kick after the score to open the 3rd. Brilliant.
  13. End of the 3rd and the Tigers are flat. Comets are rolling. They’ll win this game if the Tigers don’t wake up!
  14. 0-7 on 3rd down and 51 yards of total offense...yikes. Purples are finally going to get their W over the blue Colonels.
  15. We were told we were going to lose going into the game lol. Yeagle’s last year, and he had us practicing shotgun formation punts on 3rd down to “Win the field position game”. Also the skip pass that turned into a Danville touchdown. Just hand the damn ball to Peach and Menetrey would’ve been our best bet. He had everyone on that team scared to play and we had one hell of a team.
  16. I did. No sweeter feeling! That team that trounced us 42-7 was so good. They beat highlands that year. One of the best if not the best 1A team of all time.
  17. Bert Bathiany has been a solid football mind since we were kids playing in the Fort Thomas JR league. His wife Haley was a cheerleader at HHS. Can’t think of a better person/family to get this ship righted. He was an 8th grader when Lorenzen was there, freshmen with Gino, then won state in 04. He can and will relight the fire. Just like Dale did I’m sure he’ll be wandering those middle school hallways, going to the JR league games and making you feel special. From what I’ve heard that’s been severely lacking.
