  1. Have seen them at the mouth of the Little Miami River last couple of boat trips in that area.
  2. The King has no clothes....... No Rebuild, just a revolving door roster, with no long term plans or goals.
  3. Here we go with the revolving door roster again. Instability in the roster, leads to discontentment and a lack of confidence. Same old, same old. The new guys look OK the first time through and then get shelled the second time around until they get sent back, and others take their place. Any positive chemistry in the clubhouse gets diluted by the addition of all the new slugs. If MLB players wouldn't take off for two/three weeks every time they bump into the wall or trip over a base, there wouldn't be the need for the constant influx of new bad players. The Cain catch in centerfield was a spectacular catch FOR HIM. Billy Hamilton makes it look easy. Tough catch nonetheless. Well done! I'm happy for Winker, he appears to be a clean cut straight arrow with his priorities in order. What we used to call a role model. It was refreshing hearing the perspectives of the FS1 broadcast team. I thought the lead man was pretty good and did his homework. The color man was bland and brought nothing to the broadcast. Back to Sadek and Larkin, and oh! how great we all are, on Saturday and Sunday. Hoffman was really lucky that he didn't get chased early. Even a blind squirrel. You can't lose them all.' Meanwhile Pittsburgh is getting beat 20-0 by Atlanta.
  4. Keep the faith, the Rockies will be here on June 11th.
  5. The Reds are like my golf game. We all know that they are better than a .500 team, and should contend for the Division title on an annual basis. But like my golf game, I know I'm a low 90s golfer, yet every time I play I shoot over 100.
  6. Say it isn't so!!! Hopefully, Patrick will stay involved with the basketball program at some level. The two of them need each other. Unfortunately, saw this perhaps coming late last season. Take care of yourself. Like it or not - Health and Family come first.
  7. Ahh!!! It's the 30 Questions with Barry show. Key words tonight - crushing and giddy-ups. Sadek has a serious case of hero worship.
  8. The Reds are absolutely gifted two wins by the Rockies. If we proved on thing this weekend it is that we are indeed better top to bottom than at least one team in the league. Totally disgraceful relief pitching from Rockie relievers. Sad.
  9. I think Jeff Brantley is one of the finest baseball minds in the game. IMO, he should be managing the ball club. Having him work with Sadek is like pairing him up with Howdy Doody. He deserves better. The good news is that we haven't been subjected to "it's all about me", Barry Larkin this series.
  10. Another disgraceful exhibition of how bad Major League pitching has come, that the Rockies would have to use a pitcher with Santos' credentials to pitch in a big league game..
  11. He even mis-called the 7th Inning stretch. IF we were only half as good as he makes us out to be, we would be world championship caliber. He continues to put earrings on this pig.
  12. What is the over/under on how many times John the New Guy uses the term - Big Fly??? Beyond annoying. Night after night.
  13. John the new guy, and Brantley are not a good broadcast team. Brantley is obviously annoyed with him, and the guy keeps digging a deeper hole, by trying to appease him. Brantley doesn't want questions asked, and John hasn't gotten the message. If you are the new guy, it's OK to be the new guy. John tries to be on a crash course about Cincinnati and the Reds. Just call the game.
  14. St. Henry, who "upset" Beechwood in the 9th Region "A" finals, obviously has the ability to jump up and take out a top team.. Unfortunately, the Cru are nine games behind in posting their stats, not allowing a layman to see who the pitcher was that defeated the Red and White Tigers, and seeing if perhaps it was that same pitcher who took down the Birds. With that being said, it also appears that the Birds are susectible to being knocked off by mere mortal teams this season.
  15. The bright spot of this series was that we didn't hae to listen to Barry Larkin. John the new guy and Chris Welsch make a good team. I'd be happy to have them work together ad infinitum.
  16. What was he thinking??? Or wasn't he??? Or did something happen to him that caused this???
  17. Unfortunately, this is what MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL has become It started with all of the expansion, and the influx of Latin American players, the majority of whom are position players, and has now left quality pitching in its wake. 17 walks in three games, five walks in an inning, and 25 runs in a game are not what was formerly Major League quality. When minor league pitching is counted on to pitch to an even watered down Major League offensive lineup, this is what you get. And we seem to be getting more than our share of it. The Reds appear to he heading back to their comfort zone - below .500.
  18. Another night of Q&A With Barry Larkin. Tonight's topic class is - Allowing batters to be comfortable. Jeez!!! Shoot me.
  19. Louisville Holy Cross will take on the 9th/10th Winner at 10am on Saturday, April 24th at 10am at Chautauqua Park in Owensboro. The tournament will run Saturday and Sunday the 23th and 25th, NOT Friday and Saturday as my previous post states.
  20. Nicholas County, behind 6 1/3 strong innings from Senior Dalton Davenport, defeated the Brossart Mustangs 7-1, striking out 14, in the championship game of the 10th Region "A" Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Carlisle, Ky.. (Nicholas Co H.S.). Ryan Johnson came on to finish it out, striking out the final two Mustangs, as the Jackets won their second 10th Region "A" Title in the past three renewals. Brossart had won the previous fourteen. The Blue Jackets scored once in first inning and put four more on the board in the fourth inning to pave the way for the 7-1 win. Both the Mustangs and Blue Jackets had played semi-finals games earlier in the day, with Nicholas County dispatching Augusta 4-2 and Brossart run-ruling Bracken County 12-2. Nicholas County will now square off against St. Henry, the winner of the 9th Region "A" Classic, n a semi-state match to see who represents Regions 9 and 10 in the "A" State Tournament in Owensboro, Friday and Saturday, April 23rd and 24th.
  21. Ugh!!! Barry Larkin in unbearable. No Barry it was a perfect throw to third. Farmer blew it. Unfortunately I work at my computer with my back to the TV and am forced to listen to these homers.
