  1. I would assume the ninth region will be collectively cheering for Madison Central in this one.
  2. This should be a great game. Highlands has been playing well as of late and Cooper seems to be getting everyone's best shot. Cooper's defense is obviously the key tonight. If Sisson can put the bluebirds on his back, then I can see the upset happening. I am still going with Cooper. 43-39.
  3. Hazard gets a favorable draw. I can see them making a run. Knott Central and Perry Central knock each other out in the semis. Going to be a good one.
  4. Understandable. I see the point. Maybe they will make a run and force schools to want to play them in the years to come. Going to be a fun regional.
  5. Historically the Smoky Mountain Classic isn't a "must-see" weekend. I was just merely suggesting scheduling some teams outside of the region that are consistently top teams around the state.
  6. What a game! Jordan Graham continues to step up in big games! Both teams will be tough outs in the region
  7. Fleek has had one 20 point game in a blowout win against Holy Cross. Two double-doubles. Mayer has played in 4-5 games this year and the same amount of double-doubles.
  8. Love the Great Crossing game to open the season should be an awesome environment! Surprised to see no GCL teams on the schedule this season, those games have really benefited Scott County the past few seasons.
  9. I have been watching this kid play since he was a freshman in high school. He is the epitome of a hard-worker. I am not surprised at all at his success. Congrats, Drew. Keep it up and Go Norse!
  10. Congrats to the Wildcats! Hopefully they can get a favorable draw in the region. I just don't see them making it too far with the type of schedule they played this year. Playing a tough schedule throughout the year gets you ready for tournament time. I have been to the Smoky Mountain Classic for the last couple years and I wonder what playing in a tournament like this does to benefit the Wildcats. Maybe they can make me eat my words, but I just don't see them going very far in the region tournament.
  11. These teams have now played 4 times this season. What are the chances we see a fifth match-up with a trip to Rupp on the line?
  12. Would love to see Miles and WV make a run through region and into Rupp. Always fun to see big names step up on the biggest stages.
  13. Fun game to watch. Very similar to the first game played in Fort Mitchell. Colonels with some uncharacteristic turnovers that kept Beechwood in it. Tigers missed some crucial free throws down the stretch, but so did the Colonels. Schilling had an answer all night long, as he was well deserving of the MVP. Looked like Mayer was pretty tired towards the end of the game, but that will happen with only a couple games under your belt. Brannen seemed hesitant early in the game but made the three ball in the corner when it mattered. Sets up for an exciting regional next week. It wouldn't bother me in the least bit if these two matched up again with the Sweet 16 berth on the line.
  14. I think this ends up being closer than people think. Close game throughout until the 4th. Cov Cath by 7.
  15. CCH & Cooper are the clear favorites going into next week. Experience always plays a factor the deeper these teams get. Depending on the draw, I could see Beechwood and/or Newport making a run.
