Tipoff between Beechwood (27-5) and Dixie (11-19) is tonight at 6:30pm at NKU's BB&T Arena.

Who wins this one?

Love this matchup for Beechwood. I know Dixie played well against St. Henry, but I can not see them improving enough from the 20+ win Beechwood had earlier in the season. Would be great accomplishment for Beechwood to get to the Regional Semis, but Dixie did get to finals last year so they do have experience on their side of being there. Hope Beechwood not just happy to be there, but I think they will be fine in this one.

I just looked at Beechwood's schedule. I like how that played out for them. They only played 14 games (10-4) against 9th region teams, but had a flavor of 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th region schools. Like how it was balanced, and it must have helped prepare them for this time of year. Kudos to Coach Goetz for doing this. Hate when I see teams play 20+ games against only regional teams. Kids need to see other styles of play from around the area/state.

I get what you are saying here. However all those styles of plays against other regions, is also meaningless if they cant win the 9th region. So yeah if they win the 9th region, it definitely would help since they played so many games against other regions. However, it doesnt mean anything if you cant get past the style of play in the 9th region first.

Dixie did make it to the finals last year but they also had the luck of the draw on their side. They defeated Ryle then Holy Cross, two teams they previously defeated to make it to the finals. Dixie did play the best game of their season against St Henry but I'm going to have to go with Beechwood on this one.

Tigers. 69-57
