I agree. IMO, SK should play Highlands and Cov Cath every year and rotate between 1 of the Louisville or Cincy powers every year. That would do a heck of a lot more to gage where they are each year... If the goal is to win a championship.

Interesting the scoring some are calling for in this. Both teams played pretty similar strength of schedule. HHS is averaging giving up 11 pts/game and CCH 10/game. These are two very good defenses. I say first to 20 wins.

Maybe another thread, but it would be interesting to see who else is currently a starting D1 QB from the Bluegrass.

Collins had a great game, but I have to go with Ben Sisson of HHS who recovered a fumble and then ran 50 yards for the go ahead score. Then in the final seconds, Sisson had another fumble recovery to give the Birds the ball back to secure the game.

Yes, there are plenty of powers to schedule (even this year). When was the last time SK scheduled St. X, Trinity, Male, Scott County, Fred Doug or any D1 or GCL team from Cincinnati? That is what the 6A powers do to prepare. That's why they'll never be ready for the "big game".

I think he was saying the official called multiple blatantly bad calls when he was out of position against HHS, and the only one for HHS was an obvious one he couldn't ignore right in front of him. If you weren't there, it's tough to comment on how bad it was.... IT WAS BAD! Let's move on from it though. On to the Birds vs. Colonels!

This is the type of game that your regular season schedule prepares you for. SKs weak schedule and refusal to play 6A powers in the regular season bites them again. SC is battle tested and will roll in this one.

Funny thing is, if HHS wins, it wouldn't be the biggest upset in 5A this year. Owensboro beat Bowling Green last night proving anything can happen in the playoffs.

14 penalties on Highlands for 168 yards 5 penalties for 41 on Anderson County.

Yes he will play. Key to the game will be turnovers. That's what gave CCH the first game. Highlands MUST win the turnover battle. If they do, it's anyone's ball game. CCH is the favorite no doubt, but these Birds are battle tested and ready for a revenge game. No matter what side you're on, this is KY football at it's best!

My personal favorite was Nate Roberts catching about a 25 yard ball 5 yards in bounds (with the ref right on the sideline calling a good catch. The back judge from the opposite side of the field comes over and rules incomplete.

As bad of officiating as I’ve ever seen in a game. That crew was an embarrassment to the state! Big game for the Birds D. They just keep grinding! 33 for AC was as advertised, but virtually no offense other than him.

In sloppy conditions, fast athletic guys slow down. But in sloppy conditions, bigger less athletic guys get REALLY slow. Bad conditions are a big advantage for HHS from a team speed standpoint. No doubt AC has some burners, but overall team speed is nowhere near HHS. Especially on the lines. Those big boys will be huffing and puffing at the end of this one.

Watched a couple of their games with my son. They seem to use one main RB. I believe he was #33. A lot/most of their guys go both ways. I look for a close game in the 1st half and HHS pulling away at the end of the 3rd and 4th. Their big guys are REALLY big. I can't imagine them going both ways with the HHS pace. They haven't played many close games, so I'm not sure they have had to battle for 4 quarters this year. They are going to be exhausted by the 4th. The Anderson QB doesn't look to throw much and when he does, it's short/intermediate.

The people on here can say what they want, but the players are taking Anderson VERY seriously. They know they're playing an undefeated team and must bring their A game to win on the road.. Absolutely no chance the Birds take this game lightly.

Boone actually has some athletes. Especially #5 and #6. The bad offense scheme doesn’t utilize them. I’d be running a read option with those two all day. It would give teams fits. To run a power offense, you have to have size. BC just doesn’t have it. Staff needs to adjust to the players they have.

The Birds rested some sick guys tonight. Good to see some other receivers/backs get some quality action.
