Macke isnt going to apply for this job. Plus Im sure she couldnt do the job of a varsity head coach and news anchor. I will say that she is not as bad of a coach as everyone makes her out to be. She just has a different style then others. I actually would like to see her back on the sidelines other than AAU.

Lol is this a serious topic......UConn would beat them. Cov Cath is good for a HIGH SCHOOL team. UConn like most college teams practice against grown men daily. Not saying it wouldnt be a interesting game but I'd also take a Geno coached squad over a Ruthsatz squad anyday.

Realistically, what was expected from this program based on their schedule this year and the talent they had? The varsity team were from the previous coach who did not invest the time to develop them as he should have. I dont think its fair to judge her based off of the previous coach's wrongdoings. How were the freshmen and jv teams the last 2 years?

Perkins would be an interesting choice. He was on the staff when the Boys team at Holmes made it to stated with Beetle. He might be a good choice if he wants to get back into it as he took this year off from coaching the girls team.

I don't think Kes leaves the girl's team to coach the boy's team. He would be leaving alot of talent and would have to rebuild the structure he likes. If you have watched any of his teams, then you would see that. With the talent he has coming back, I don't see him leaving the girls side but if he does it wont be for another job at HC. Dre would be the logical choice but since when have school administration made the logical decision?

Im up in the air on whether this a good job to take. On one hand the district isn't very strong except Highlands but what do they have coming in the future?

I think Ryle by 10. They are a more athletic team and I think that will be the key along with foul trouble. I think Ryle can go far if they stay out of foul trouble.

You are right, they dont lose anyone but everyone gets a year older and a year better. I will say that Ryle will be the favorite going in but I can see other teams stepping up and challenging them for the title in the upcoming years. There were some good JV teams this year.

I would say this was an upset to everyone but HC. I heard nothing but Newport was going to the finals once the draw was released. HC with no big time stars played probably the 2nd best game of their season. First year in a while that HC's boys team is playing longer than the girls team. I honestly wont be shocked if HC makes it to the finals. Congrats to Ryan, his staff and the team on a big win.

Was very surprised by this game. Ryle ran out to a nice lead and even had many members of their JV in at the end of the half before HC turned up the pressure and got back into the game in the 2nd half and having a very good 4th quarter and almost pulling out the upset. I think that for Ryle to be successful going forward they have to keep the pressure on and play to win and not to lose. HC returns all of their roster minus B. Harney. Should make a nice run next year if the younger girls return. Will they all return to the court?

Highlands will be back next year with Macke getting a full year of Varsity. Their district isnt very strong but with the knowledge they have on the coaching staff, they will be hard to beat. Not to mention Barth who I expect to be in the running for Regional Player of the Year.

He loves structure and kids with absolute respect and buy in to what he is preaching. Dont think he would get that down at Holmes. Plus as stated before his son is at CCH so I dont think he would even entertain the offer.

I am pretty sure that he cant hold both jobs. I think that he is putting himself in line to be the AD when he retires. Seems like that perfect transition.

The championship will be the second round game between GRC and Campbell Co with Campbell Co winning. Kinda wish those 2 teams were opposite each other to have a better overall tournament.
