  1. I think both teams would have treated it like exhibition to begin with. Now, Beechwood will definitely treat it like an exhibition, as they have much bigger games looming on the weekend.
  2. Winning Pitcher was Freshman Brett Holladay, making his varsity debut tonight. He pitched 4 innings and had 4 K’s. At the plate, the Tigers were led by the seniors, accounting for all 3 home runs hit tonight. John Odom - 3-4 HR w/ an RBI Logan Castleman - 3-4 2B, HR w/ 2 RBI Ayden Hutton - 2-4 w/ 2 RBI Dylan Doverspike - 1-2 HR w/ 3 RBI Marcus Berger - 1-3 w/ a 2B
  3. Beechwood walks it off in the 7th on a bases loaded sac fly by Jacob Norton. Ayden Hutton started and went 4 innings, giving up 3 runs. Preston Hamilton came in and finished it up, earning his first win of the season. Clay Trusty - 3-4 with a 2B Ayden Hutton - 2-3 Devin Johnson - 1-2 with 1 RBI Preston Hamilton - 1-3 with 3 RBI’s
  4. A little Sunday Matinee baseball in Fort Mitchell today. Carter Noah (2-0) started and went 6 innings. He struck out 6 while maintaining a very low pitch count. Senior Devin Johnson came in to close out the 7th. Turpin, in their season opener, threw 3 very nice pitchers. The starter wasn’t anything overpowering but had very good command of multiple pitches. Turpin has a really nice ball club. Beechwood was led at the plate by John Odom. He finished the game 2 for 3 and he belted his 2nd HR of the season. Devin Johnson was 2-3, Marcus Berger was 1-2 with a double and Ayden Hutton was 1-2 with an RBI.
  5. Per twitter: Baseball - Final (5 inn) Beechwood - 11 Western Brown, OH - 1 WP - Fieger (1-0) 4 K’s Castleman - 1-2 2B w/ RBI Johnson - 2-3 2B, 3B w/ 2 RBI Noll - 1-1 w/ 2 walks Trusty - 2-2 w/ 3 RBIs Tigers back at it tomorrow (Sunday) against Turpin at 1pm at Beechwood
  6. Drew Fieger got the start and went 3 innings. Jacob Norton came in and finished off the last two innings. Not sure on individual stats but there were alot of walks by Western Brown pitching.
  7. Correct, I said in 2 years. This years schedule is 1 year, and in 2 years the same schedule will exist. Hergott will be a senior and the freshman will be juniors.
  8. Per twitter: Baseball - Final (3 innings) Beechwood - 15 Campbell County - 0 WP - Ayden Hutton Odom - 3-3 HR(1) w/ 5 RBI Johnson - 2-3 Doverspike - 1-3 w/ 3 RBI Berger - 2-2 w/ 1 RBI Noll - 1-1 w/ 2 RBI Norton - 1-2 w/ 2 RBI Tigers back in action on Saturday against Western Brown, OH.
  9. Junior Carter Noah pitched 4 innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 7. Sophomore Drew Fieger threw the final 3, giving up 1 run and striking out 5. At the plate, the Tigers were led by Senior Logan Castleman (2-3 with a HR and 3 RBI), Senior Dylan Doverspike (1-2 with a 2B and an RBI) and Senior Devin Johnson (1-3 with an RBI). Tigers are back at it tomorrow afternoon against Campbell County at 5pm at Beechwood.
  10. These schedules are almost always 2 year deals. Beechwood has a very good class of sophomores to be, and the returning 1st team All N.K.F.C.A. QB that will be a junior. They may take a few lumps early in the year, but it will make them prepared for the playoffs. Also, if Beechwood loads up on cupcakes this year, then those same cupcakes will be there in 2 years when Beechwood has a chance to be very good, then everyone would be complaining that Beechwood should be playing a tougher schedule. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  11. 8/10 Moore (Scrimmage) 8/16 Cooper (Scrimmage) 8/23 Open 8/30 Paintsville at Georgetown 9/6 at Somerset 9/13 Corbin 9/20 Covington Catholic 9/27 Cincinnati Taft 10/4 at Dixie Heights 10/11 Holy Cross at Holmes 10/18 at Lloyd Memorial 10/25 Newport 11/1 Newport Catholic
  12. Great foul at the end of the game by Duncan Baugh. Can’t let them get away with that. Cov Cath won this one. Beechwood didn’t hit shots that they needed to hit. But most importantly, I hope Frederick watched and took in how the Beechwood team and faithful took the loss. They watched CCH accept their trophy and applauded them when they did so. Frederick NEVER clapped when Beechwood won the district. I will say Beechwood lost the Beechwood way. CCH will get away with what they need to in the name of a championship...and that’s exactly how Frederick wants it! Great season Beechwood and TTS.
  13. Shhhhhhhh! :sssh: you’re not the Beechwood authority.
  14. The most talented team won. Ryle is the real deal when they want to be. They will be pushed in the championship by Dixie but I think talent will win and Ryle win.
  15. Wow! Dixie is playing with a chip on their shoulder. They drop two of the best teams in the region (behind Ryle). Should be a great championship! Dixie has proved themselves time and time again.
  16. I can’t believe I’m getting attacked on this website for DEFENDING A PLAYER!!! I will not stop defending the kids especially when an adult is the one coming after them. I stand by what I say about Frederick and him attacking players. I stand by the KIDS! I am for the KIDS!
  17. Mr. Frederick can name the time and the place and I’ll address it. Matter of fact, I’ll just address it tonight. TTS
  18. Let’s hope coaches don’t yell obscenities at the players this game...Frederick!
  19. It doesn't matter what Draud's FG percentage was, or how ugly the game was, or how the refs called the game. The bottom line is, Cooper plays a physical, ugly style of basketball, and Beechwood beat them at their own game. The Beechwood TEAM won, and Cooper lost. Beechwood is more than just Scotty Draud, and they proved that tonight. Big plays were made by virtually everybody that hit the court for Beechwood. Duncan Baugh didn't score a point, but he had some key rebounds and hustle plays that were crucial to tonight's win. It takes a team to get to the regional finals, not one individual. The Tigers March on to the finals, best of luck tomorrow, it should be another great game.
  20. That play was an absolute joke. You are correct, Beechwood tried to foul the man, and they let it go on, but that was a charge. It just never should have gotten to the charge.
  21. To be honest, Cooper got away with quite a few fouls on drives to the basket. The refs let a lot of contact go on tonight. The game was officiated right in Cooper's wheelhouse, and Beechwood still found a way to win.
