Believe he was back at Highlands for the 1988/1989 season. The sidelines will not be the same without Coach L. There is a lot of passion leaving the floor with that guy.

The story here is that Campbell County was the #1 team in the state and their neighbor and former district rival pulled off a big upset. I do not think it is a big deal to point out a bad call, or to question a lopsided amount of fouls. However, point it out and move on. Big win for Highlands, maybe the biggest during the Walz era? And, big season for Campbell County.

Mercer County is representing Kentucky in a big way. There are several KY schools who can compete nationally this season. Mercer County, Sacred Heart, Campbell County, and Butler are all getting it done.

I thought Covington Catholic would be the team to beat considering what they were returning. But, Cooper continues to roll. The Jaguars are hard nosed and have to be considered the favorite in the 9th right now. Trinity, Butler, Fern Creek, Scott County, Cooper. Those are my top 5 as of today.

Sacred Heart has had Eastern's number. Eastern does not have enough ball handlers to keep up with Sacred Heart.

Campbell County forced Montini Catholic into 28 turnovers. This was a big time win over one of the top ranked team in the Nation.
