  1. At the end of the day, this was a great game. Honestly, I feel like Highlands outplayed CC. The three turnovers really killed them. The Birds are lightyears ahead of where they were last year and the program will rebound. Good things coming. Also, McGinness could possibly be the best RB in KY. He plays with an insane amount of grit and fire. The one where he ripped off 30-35 yards and they had a penalty and he came back the next play with 25 was awesome. Kid is a straight stud.
  2. Turnovers killed the Birds...and that dropped psss was a heartbreaker.
  3. McGinness is the real deal. Kid is a flat out workhorse.
  4. Cramer overthrows Ahfeld by a long shot...4th down and a punt coming up. He's looking off tonight on the passes...
  5. Personal foul after a massive run by Schwalbach (on Schwalbach?)
  6. Near pick on a long pass down the side #2 Armstrong on coverage (had it in his hands and the WR knocked it out)
  7. Wow! Nice to see the Birds take it to Ryle after what they pulled the last few years.
  8. You’re thinking of his older brother, Cooper, who is a running back.
  9. Bowman Huddy Schwalbach - looking forward to see his development after getting solid reps last year as a sophomore
  10. This is great! Although, I'm surprised he hasn't gotten some bigger ones. Congrats on the offers, young man!
  11. So 600 a piece? The YPC is solid, but total yards between two backs isn't huge.
  12. McGinnes (sp?) Schwalbach England That's top 3 in NKY - no specific order.
  13. I'll echo this: Cramer will be the stud QB in NKY next year. He will dazzle!
  14. I, for one, am excited about this next year with all of the returning starters and guys that got good time and exposure last year. I'd love to see Huddy play all over the place...TE, FB, RB, WR, PR, KR, LB. He is an absolute animal and has the mentality to match his athleticism. To only play him on one side of the ball would be a travesty. I feel pretty much the same with Ahfeld. He's a younger kid that has a ton of potential and can really make an impact. The linebacker core is looking great, returning a bunch of kids that got significant playing time - including M. Schwalbach. The secondary is returning as well, but I'd love to see them move Armstrong into the safety position. Kid is all heart and hits like a kid with 75 more pounds on him and he's not afraid to mix it up. He would make for some big hits coming down to fill the alley. Although, Ahfeld could do this as well and leave Armstrong at corner, due to his cover skills. I'm crazy excited about Cramer though. He truthfully should have started last year. Good size, great poise and decision making as well - with a cannon to boot. King, Huddy, Ahfeld, King are all good sized WR that have good hands and athleticism. Schwalbach will rush for 1,000+ this year too. I look for 7-3 or 8-2 next year. Go Birds!
  15. I do believe that Cramer should have started this year for sure, and had more opportunities at bare minimum the year before.
  16. Why? Take a peek at the last few years QB situation and you should have your answer.
  17. Huddy will make a massive impact on this defense, and their ability to stop the run no question. I hate the 3-5-3 scheme they ran. Coughing up almost 300 yards a game average is nauseating. One question I did have on the D was why they changed up the secondary in the playoffs. It didn't even look like a rotation, but an actual change in personnel. Anyone have any insight into that?
  18. To the posters saying that BW is a great defensive coach: What games have you been watching? Our defense was DISMAL this year. No top 20 spots in 5A for defensive team stats.
