If the same play happened on Belfrys sideline it is a touchdown. I’m sure the Boyle County coaches players and fans were all over the official. Great game though and I don’t want to take anything away from Boyle, they have an outstanding team. In most championship quests whether it be high school, college or pro, there is always that one game that the really good teams find a way to win when they shouldn’t have. This was Boyle County and I look for them to take another state championship. Also hoping to see Smith in blue and white at the collegiate level. Robinson Smith and the Allen kid from Catholic would be fun to watch on the same team. Looking forward already to Boyle and Johnson Central hooking up next year in 4A

Horrible call, but, that is part of football. Eliminate the turnovers and Belfry still wins the football game. Great game and atmosphere. Smith is a big time athlete.

As usual when two really good football powerhouses collide, it comes down to turnovers and penalties. I was very proud of the Pirates and already looking forward to next year. Good luck to Boyle County and Im sure they left Pond Creek with a deep sigh and thankful to get out with a victory. Go Big Red

Belfry will be fine. A little fine tuning and chemistry and they will peak at the right time. Give these guys that didn't play last year some time to mix with the returning starters and they are going to be very, very good.
