  1. Good for those kids for sticking together and having focus. Same thing tonight. Up 1 on Ballard at the half.
  2. Sorry, *was ... I wouldn’t sell those kids short.
  3. Pretty sure I clear on it being an observation, perhaps not.
  4. They are obviously better with DJ on the floor, but Saturday night they shot better from the field, three, and FT line in the 2nd half. They scored more points and held Collins to the same amount as the 1st half. Interesting numbers at least.
  5. Lots of fantastic OLs and DLs in 4A, Collins’ among them. All 5 OL starters were named all-district with 2 on the DL.
  6. Collins is sending off a great class, but also returns a ton of talent and experience. They return one of their top rushers, in bruiser AJ Bradford (602 yds 5 TD’s). They also return three of their top receivers in Toole, Harris, and McBroom. Harris is also the school’s all time INT leader. The OL brings back two all-district members (the entire OL was all-district) in the monstrous Nathan Jacobs and Cory Diaz. Defense returns big contributors such as Logan Coughenour, Dane Kidwell, Miles Megibben, Henry Robbins, DJ Webb, as well as Sicari Toole and Christian McBroom, who I mentioned at WR. The Titans also boast one of the best kickers in the state in Webb Bates. I’m sure I’ve left some kids out, but I’d say things look bright for the Titans in 2018. Not as young as people might expect, given the graduating class. I look for the Titans to make another run in 2018.
  7. Very kind words macdon. Not bad for a kid who was once described on this forum as a “QB who can’t throw”. Go win this thing! Until we meet again ...
  8. Incredible performance by JR Lucas in the loss. I’ve seen nearly every snap he’s taken since the 8th grade and that may have been his finest game as a passer. Heartbroken for this group of seniors. Congrats to FS on a well-deserved victory. Wish you guys all the luck!
  9. 38-7 Collins, final. Big nights for Lucas, Toole, Stucker and the defense.
  10. Josh Cook has a pretty decent shot showing that official. Can't say that he made a move, but my eyes are getting old.
  11. There's something I can agree with. Let those responsible for handling things, handle things. I'll bet all the adults in the stands were perfect examples of decorum last night too, lest we forget where our kids learn behaviors. Let's definitely blog about this and tell the kids what they "should" do in a public forum (as if anyone doesn't know what they "should" do). Hopefully, we will be investing such energy into their academics and post-high school/college lives.
  12. I love how we sit back and think kids (they ARE kids) will just take constant abuse from other kids and adults and always react perfectly. I'm sure that never happened back in the good old days when basketball was pure as snow. They waved to someone? Oh goodness. I sure hope the poor people waved to can sleep tonight. Don't bother responding. I couldn't care less about anyone's explanation of this abominable behavior.
  13. Nice win for the Titans, who again were without three starters and a key reserve. Significant time for three freshmen.
  14. My fault T2T, I understand what you were writing now. Yeah, the scorer actually took a point off and then corrected. I'm confident the score was correct to start. No harm as it turns out.
  15. "Officials later told them it was a and corrected .....". Officials told them it was a what? It was scored a 3.
  16. OT is correct. KHSAA shows it now. The concern with the score originally came from the official scorer (home) who showed Shelby with one less point earlier in the 4th. They came back later and decided that change was incorrect and fixed the score. This all started in the 4-5 minute range in the fourth and ended in the 1-2 range, if I recall correctly.
  17. Versus Collins, South was 20-53 overall, 9-27 from 3. Griffin was 6-14 overall and 1-6 from 3.
